nothing stands in the way of a Barack Obama presidency --
12/9/2008 9:32:25 AM

Remember, the Electoral College convenes Monday, Dec. 15, to determine who the next president will be. After that, nothing stands in the way of a Barack Obama presidency -- and another nail in the coffin of literal interpretation of our Constitution. So act now!

FedEx Members of
The Electoral College

Last chance to lobby for
constitutional eligibility standard
Despite receiving more than 60,000 of our letters last week, the U.S. Supreme Court announced on Monday that it had refused to review one of the cases challenging the President-elect's eligibility to hold that office.
"That leaves it up to the Electoral College," says WND Editor Joseph Farah. "If you want to do everything you can, like I do, to see that the letter and spirit of the Constitution are upheld in this election year, this may be your last chance to weigh in before Inauguration Day. I urge you to work with us in sending letters to members of the Electoral College."

Here's Our Next Move:
Following up the campaign last week to FedEx the U.S. Supreme Court, WND today announces a historic first in its quest to establish Barack Obama's eligibility for office - a similar FedEx letter drive directed at individual Electoral College members.
Through Thursday at noon Eastern, WND is providing an opportunity to Americans who would like to contact electors of the next president before they vote Monday to send Obama to the White House.
WND has obtained addresses for more than 87 percent of the 538-member Electoral College. The letters will be sent FedEx to the 470 members for whom addresses are available. They will all be delivered Friday morning, giving each elector the weekend to consider the constitutional issues raised by Obama's presidency.
With the new "FedEx the Electoral College" program, you can reach all 470 with a one-page pre-written letter, with your name and address attached, delivered overnight for less than it would cost you to FedEx one member - if you had the address.
"The idea was to make this very easy and inexpensive for Americans to make their voices heard," explained Farah. "We encourage other creative ways to prevail upon the consciences of the Electoral College members, but these are not high-profile, public figures. They are ordinary Americans who are little known to the public and who lead private lives. It is not easy to find their names, let alone addresses. While we do not feel comfortable making those addresses public, we believe this campaign will allow Americans to offer their opinions and concerns in a controlled way, without violating the privacy of individual members."
Farah personally drafted the letter that will be sent to the Electoral College members above the name and address of all those participating in the program. The letters sent in the "FedEx the Electoral College" campaign will read:

Electoral College Member
123 Main Street
Anytown, PA 12345

Dear member of the Electoral College:
Before you cast your vote Monday to make Barack Hussein Obama Jr. the next president of the United States, please seriously consider the following:
Right now, a dozen lawsuits are pending all over the United States - including one brought by a former presidential candidate and U.N. ambassador, and another suit brought by a former deputy attorney general of Pennsylvania, plus there are many others - all attempting to bring clarity to an issue that will haunt an Obama presidency if it isn't dealt with now.
That issue, as you surely know, is the fact that the U.S. Constitution says clearly and unambiguously in Article 2, Section 1 that presidents must be natural born citizens. But, as is evident not only from lawsuits, but from news stories and the actions of millions of Americans signing petitions, this constitutional issue has not yet been addressed, even at this late hour.
Unfortunately, there isn't enough time for our slow-moving legal process to deal with this before the Electoral College meets next week. Only you, our Electors, have the power and responsibility - and the obligation under the Constitution - to use your authority to establish, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that Barack Hussein Obama Jr. qualifies for the office under that standard.
There is grave and widespread concern throughout the American public that this constitutional requirement is being overlooked and enforcement neglected by state and federal election authorities. There should be no doubt whatsoever that America's next president was truly born in the United States.
Remember, if the Constitution doesn't mean precisely what it says, then America is no longer a nation under the rule of law. And a nation no longer under the rule of law is, by definition, under the rule of men.
Therefore I urge you to honor the Constitution in this matter and uphold the public trust - even if doing so may prove awkward or inconvenient.
All Americans should have confidence their president is eligible to serve. In this unique and historic case, you may prove to be the Constitution's last line of defense.
Sincerely,

Click Here to Rush Deliver This Letter to
470 Electoral College Members
The name and address of every participant in the "FedEx the Electoral College" campaign will be displayed for the 470 Electoral College members who receive the letters.
This is an historic opportunity to speak directly to the Electoral College at a critical time in American history.

Sign me up! I want to send my FedEx message to the Electoral College right now for only $10.95.

Hello Geketa,

Yes, I meant to get this out yesterday but ran into one of those
"change in plans" roadblocks yesterday and never got back around to this issue till this morning.  How about the Governor of Illinois trying to sell Obama's senate seat?  Reckon that is how Obama obtained his seat too?  Think about the fallout and potential arrests that could occur from this Pay to Play for the Chicago Senate Seat!

There is a cloud hanging over this year's election process like no other I have seen.  The problem always seems to relate to money and coverup, corrupted life long politicians.

REAL TERM Limits needs to be imposed even down to the committee levels.  These birds get a whiff of the power and money dust and they are like a crack head after the next rock.  They will get it by whatever means necessary to obtain their objective to remain in the seat of power or state of mind.

The RUSH is what they are after, instead of what is best for the people they work for and represent.

GREED and Power will test any of us.  But has destroyed all the past great Democracies and Republics.  When the few believe they know better than the people, then there are challenges.  Usually related to the secrets needed to keep the power and feed the greed.  Strict Term Limits would end this cycle.  8 years max to be one of 535 deciders.

May Wisdom and the knowledge you gained go with you,

Hi jim ,

i thought you might want to see this as it fits right into their plan for the USA

On Friday and yesterday we emailed you Action Alerts about AIG offering a shariah-compliant insurance product. Last month the Treasury Department hosted a forum designed to educate government and private sector attendees on the Islamic finance market.

Today, we report to you the UK Financial Times story that “Saudi Arabia’s top cleric” has called for “Muslim countries to renounce capitalism and form an Islamic economic bloc that adopts interest-free finance.”

Apart from the fact that shariah “interest-free finance” is frequently disingenuous (in that the financial investments are often structured to provide a profit but the profit is not called “interest”), the pronouncement from Grand Mufti Abdelaziz Al al-Sheikh is but another reminder of the growing threat of “cultural jihad” to the West.

Remember, one of the world’s leading authorities on shariah-compliant finance has termed it “jihad with money.” Stay tuned in the weeks to come as we provide more information and education about shariah-compliant finance.

Top Saudi cleric cites crisis to press for sharia finance

Saudi Arabia’s top cleric has used his annual sermon to Muslim pilgrims assembling for hajj to urge Muslim countries to renounce capitalism and form an Islamic economic bloc that adopts interest-free finance.

Grand Mufti Abdelaziz Al al-Sheikh told worshippers assembling on the plain of Mount Arafat that global economies now caught in crisis were suffering the result of using interest as a bedrock of their financial systems. Under Islamic law, or sharia, paying or receiving interest is forbidden.

The crisis, he said, demonstrated that “Muslim countries must have sharia-compliant economies and unite to become a formidable economic power”.

Islamic banks, which grew rapidly in the Gulf region in recent years from an influx of oil receipts, often depend on retail deposits rather than money markets for funding. As a result, sharia-compliant banks generally demand strong collateral, which some argue is why their exposure to toxic loans is limited.

The white-bearded mufti, wearing the traditional white robes of the pilgrim, also warned young Muslims to stay away from the corrupting influences of the modern media, which he termed “ideological terror” and said was targeting them.

The mufti’s economic edicts are meant to serve more for spiritual guidance, and commenting on a global economic phenomenon is a rare event.

Some pilgrims said that they would pray for an end to the global financial crisis.

Mohammad Fateh, who works for a brokerage in Egypt, told Reuters: “The economic crisis is on the mind of most pilgrims. They are going to pray to God to alleviate the problem...It’s an unexpected crisis and the only solution is mercy from heaven.

“The Arab and Muslim worlds are going to be affected by this crisis. I’ll pray to God to lift this scourge,” he said, adding that many had asked him to offer prayers on their behalf.

The hajj retraces the path of the Prophet Mohammed 14 centuries ago after he removed pagan idols from Mecca, his birthplace, and years after he started calling people to the new faith, now embraced by more than 1bn people worldwide.

At Arafat, Muslims pray for forgiveness and for their own and fellow Muslims’ welfare.

After sunset, the pilgrims were scheduled to continue their gradual trip toward Mecca, heading for Muzdalifa to gather pebbles for the symbolic ritual of throwing stones at a set of pillars and walls representing the devil.

Saudi media said this year a record 1.72m hajj visas had been granted to Muslims abroad and at least 500,000 local people had received permits.

This year’s hajj has so far not faced any of the problems or disasters that have marred the event in previous years, which included fires, hotel collapses, police clashes with protesters and deadly stampedes caused by overcrowding.

Saudi Arabian authorities have carried out renovations over the past year in an effort to ease the flow of pilgrims inside the Grand Mosque and at the disaster-prone Jamarat bridge. In January 2006, 362 people were crushed to death there in the worst hajj tragedy since 1990.

Hello Geketa,

Yes, I have been asking folks in different places "What does Sharia Law have to do with the US Finanacial Markets?"  and the folks I have asked that question to have failed to get back to me.  Now these folks are my representation in our democratic system and they have yet to offer an answer.  One even replied " He was vetted by the American people in the elction.." in an answer to a letter about the Obama Birth Certificate, I had sent a few weeks ago.  This was a Republican!>??*&^%$

Our representation has become corrupt on both sides of the aisle and folks like you, me and most of the people of the world are being played like a fiddle at Charlie Daniels concert.  We definitely need change when a vacant Senate Seat becomes a commodity item offered up to the highest bidder!   Read this!

Ill. Gov. arrested in Obama successor probe

CHICAGO – Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was arrested on Tuesday on charges that he brazenly conspired to sell or trade the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by President-elect Barack Obama to the highest bidder.

Blagojevich also was charged with illegally threatening to withhold state assistance to Tribune Co., the owner of the Chicago Tribune, in the sale of Wrigley Field, according to a federal criminal complaint. In return for state assistance, Blagojevich allegedly wanted members of the paper's editorial board who had been critical of him fired.

A 76-page FBI affidavit said the 51-year-old Democratic governor was intercepted on court-authorized wiretaps over the last month conspiring to sell or trade the vacant Senate seat for personal benefits for himself and his wife, Patti.

Otherwise, Blagojevich considered appointing himself. The affidavit said that as late as Nov. 3, he told his deputy governor that if "they're not going to offer me anything of value I might as well take it."

"I'm going to keep this Senate option for me a real possibility, you know, and therefore I can drive a hard bargain," Blagojevich allegedly said later that day, according to the affidavit, which also quoted him as saying in a remark punctuated by profanity that the seat was "a valuable thing — you just don't give it away for nothing."

The affidavit said Blagojevich also discussed getting a substantial salary for himself at a nonprofit foundation or an organization affiliated with labor unions.

It said Blagojevich also talked about getting his wife placed on corporate boards where she might get $150,000 a year in director's fees.  http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081209/ap_on_re_us/blagojevich_corruption_probe
