Your descriptions put me there! One day I will visit some of these places in Australia. I've been dreaming about it for years thanks to the movie Horses Down Under (beautiful brumbies) and my many Aussie friends here who continuously describe the beauties of this great land. Someone promised to take me opal hunting too! :)
Thank you again for the beautiful write-up about your childhood. There is no going back to our childhoods, but you can go back there as an adult and enjoy it all again.
