I have this forum about Friends, and that is a big part of what marketing is all about. It's a good idea to get to know people first and then market your products. I know about direct contacts too, I have used them but I did my best to get to know people first without telling them to join my business or present a product.
 Try to find out what you have in common with people and then form a relationship with them through emails. Instant messengers like skype or yahoo help too ! Online communities are good too and some offer a conference or chatroom.

Hey, Carla,

I'm glad to be counted as one of your friends. I enjoy our conversations and actually relating to someone without being coerced into doing business with them.

It does upset me when I get offers in my email or comments and all I get is a pitch. I would personally like to get to know what people, individually, are about before I jump right in to "pitch" them.

If I find something I think will help someone's business, I'll pass it on, but my whole reason for being here is to connect...first, then if I have something to offer that will help someone, I'll do so.

Great idea Carla, I get so many blasts from folks I don't know who are positive I want to join their programs!
Sometimes I try to gently explain why this is a really bad idea and most don't seems to get it.
Some are really cute and will probably stay around long enough to learn some manners.
