It was written and directed by Leigh Scott and produced by David Michael Latt and The Asylum, a movie studio known for making low budget films to capitalize on the release of larger ones. While deviating greatly from the plot of Transformers, the film contains plotlines similar to the films The Matrix, The Terminator, and X-Men.

Hey Jim,

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. The trailers are pretty bad so I imagine the full 1 hour and 25 minute must be horrendous.

Sorta reminds me of the sci fi being preached here in our community. :)

Shalom,

Peter

Good Day Peter,

As I, enjoy Sci-Fi, Mythology and the like, I thought I would occaisionally showcase some of the good, bad and ugly, movies, I occaisionally come across.

This caught my eye as the Movie Transformers is making it's way to cable so did this little combination movie.  Sort of combines, Star Trek, Stargate, Transformers and the Matrix together for a interesting storyline and break from reality.  Plus some of the classic bad acting you would expect from a B (low-budget) Movie.

Something like you would find on Mystery Science Theater.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts,

Jim

Another one of my favorite gendres are "What If" type of films.  This one was featured in 1984 and had C.Thomas Howell, Patrick Swayze. Lea Thompson and several other recognizable stars before they were beseiged with fame.

New Sci-Fi series Sanctuary is a very interesting SERIES, I enjoy it a lot.  After all it is only Science Fiction.

((youtube id="6K-v4MJScz0"))((/youtube))

Sanctuary blazes a trail across the TV landscape with never-before-seen production technology. Starring Amanda Tapping, best known to fans as the brilliant Col. Samantha Carter on Stargate SG-1, Sanctuary is the first series to shoot extensively on green screen, using virtual sets and extraordinary visual effects.

Sanctuary follows the adventures of the beautiful, enigmatic and always surprising Dr. Helen Magnus (Tapping), a brilliant scientist who holds the secrets of a clandestine population — a group of strange and sometimes terrifying beings that hide among humans.

Along with her new recruit, forensic psychiatrist Dr. Will Zimmerman (Robin Dunne), her quirky tech wiz Henry (Ryan Robbins) and her fearless daughter Ashley (Emilie Ullerup), Magnus seeks to protect this threatened phenomena as well as unlock the mysteries behind their existence. The series also stars Christopher Heyerdahl as the sinister John Druitt.

Created by Damian Kindler (Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis), Sanctuary is produced in association with SCI FI Channel and is distributed by Tricon Films and Television. The show is executive produced by Damian Kindler, Sam Egan, Amanda Tapping, Martin Wood, Keith Beedie and N. John Smith.
