	Hi Vel, Sounds like you speak from experience. Thank you very much for your input here. My mother had her fatal heart attack and could not get to a telephone. I had an alert system hooked up to her phone and when she did not check in it alerted me that something was wrong. She was suppose to wear the alert button around her neck but did not do so. The system did help in the previous years when she fell outside and could not get up. It alerted me and when I got to her home I found her outside and called 911. She had to check in with the system a couple of times a day or the system would call me. These systems are good for the elderly but they really need to wear the alert button around their neck and my mom being stubborn did not do so. If she had I probably could have gotten there faster.
