More Lies from ZEROBAMA

Liberals, click "more info." America has always been attacked when she was perceived as being week. That is what will happen without a strong military.

For you liberals who think Obama sounds so good, and for you conservatives who want a good laugh, I'll break down Obama's foreign policy in layman's terms:

1) I'll stop spending $9 billion a month in Iraq. Does that mean he'll spend $8 billion a month in Iraq or none at all?

2) I opposed the Iraq War from the beginning; you know when I was a state Senator, back in Illinois.

3) I'll cut the "unproven missile defense system." You know, that missle defense system that has repeatedly shot down missiles and that same missile defense system that the Europeans and the Israelis want. Yeah that one!

4) I'll allow China and Russia to put their weapons into space ahead of us, leaving us totally defenseless against them.

5) Not only do I want us to be defenseless from space, I also want China and Russia to have superior air, ground, and naval forces too.

6) And I'll put my goons (the Defense Priorities Board) in the Pentagon to make sure that the Defense Department doesn't try to defend us.

7) To ensure peace throughout the world I will get rid of all our nuclear weapons. After I get rid of all our nuclear weapons, I'll talk to all the other nations around the world about getting rid of their nuclear weapons too. After they hear what I have to say, they will be so impressed with me, they'll get rid of all their nuclear weapons, and then we'll all live happily ever after.

8) My sole purpose in all this is not to defend America, to ensure that she remains free, but to make sure that I stay in power; because once I put all that money that would have gone into national defense and install a national healthcare system, my government will have life and death power over the American people.

Obama says he cannot guarantee Social Security checks will go out on August 3

President Obama on Tuesday said he cannot guarantee that retirees will receive their Social Security checks August 3 if Democrats and Republicans in Washington do not reach an agreement on reducing the deficit in the coming weeks.

"I cannot guarantee that those checks go out on August 3rd if we haven't resolved this issue. Because there may simply not be the money in the coffers to do it," Mr. Obama said in an interview with CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley, according to excerpts released by CBS News.

The Obama administration and many economists have warned of economic catastrophe if the United States does not raise the amount it is legally allowed to borrow by August 2.

Lawmakers from both parties want to use the threat of that deadline to work out a broader package on long-term deficit reduction, with Republicans looking to cut trillions of dollars in federal spending, while Democrats are pushing for a more "balanced approach," which would include both spending cuts and increased revenue through taxes.

The Debt Limit fight: A primer

Democratic and Republican lawmakers are expected to hold another round of negotiations with Mr. Obama at the White House Tuesday afternoon on long-term deficit reduction, though talks have yielded little results to date.

Mr. Obama told Pelley "this is not just a matter of Social Security checks. These are veterans checks, these are folks on disability and their checks. There are about 70 million checks that go out."

The interview will air Tuesday evening on the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley.

Mr. Obama's comments followed remarks from the Senate's top Republican, who said Tuesday that he did not see a way for Republicans and Democrats to come to agreement on meaningful deficit reduction as long as Mr. Obama remains in office.

"After years of discussions and months of negotiations, I have little question that as long as this president is in the Oval Office, a real solution is probably unattainable," Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said in remarks on the Senate floor.

Still, McConnell said Republicans would "do the responsible thing" to avoid default, suggesting that a deal on the debt ceiling could be reached without a "real" deficit reduction package.

"The president has presented us with three choices: smoke and mirrors, tax hikes, or default. Republicans choose none of the above. I had hoped to do good, but I refuse to do harm. So Republicans will choose a path that actually reflects the will of the people, which is to do the responsible thing and ensure that the government doesn't default on its obligations," he said.

Mr. Obama has repeatedly said he wants a deal that would allow the U.S. to avoid confronting the issue again until after the 2012 elections and vowed on Monday that he would "not sign a 30-day or a 60-day or a 90-day extension."

"This the United States of America and, you know, we don't manage our affairs in three-month increments. You know, we don't risk U.S. default on our obligations because we can't put politics aside," Mr. Obama told reporters at the White House yesterday.

That's a sad situation...the manager at the Dollar General store up the street said the group that shoplifts the most is....older people...and he doesn't know what to do, he feels bad about stopping elderly people and giving them a hard time. That's sad.

Yes, Kathleen,

This President and his henchmen, Pelosi, Reid, Franks, Bernake and Geithner would rather threaten cutting the most needed programs than do the right thing.

This president has expanded government by the size of the deficit if not more. Now threatens the weakest in our nation to win votes.

What a real a$$hole this president is, when it is as simple as to stop the nonsense on our resources, stop spending billions monthly on wars none of us agree with or want, reduce the size of government and end the bureaucracies he has put in place since taking office, like the 50 some odd czars and staff and Obumacare. It is really that simple.

Social Security is not insolvent and never will be if the government would pay their IOUs to the trust fund. This president and his henchmen are elitist and would be tyrants, plain and simple.

The situation is sad and unfortunate, that we live in the richest country, or once was, in the world.

Obama walked out of the debt talks abruptly today, guess he had other more important stuff to do. Amazingly, the debt situation helped him get elected. How difficult would it be just to continue sitting thru talks just to keep himself looking good in the situation? That's his job, he should have stayed there.
