(GOPUSA) — It’s even worse than we previously thought. A retired four-star admiral is now claiming that Barack Obama intentionally conspired with America’s enemies to stage a bogus attack and the kidnapping of an American ambassador so he could “negotiate” the release of a “hostage” and bolster his mediocre approval ratings just prior to the election?

On Lou Dobbs, retired Four-Star Admiral James Lyons, said: “the attack on the American Consulate in Benghazi… was the result of a bungled abduction attempt…. the first stage of an international prisoner exchange… that would have ensured the release of Omar Abdel Rahman, the ‘Blind Sheik’…”

But something went horribly wrong with Obama’s “October Surprise.” Although the Obama Administration intentionally gutted security at the consulate prior to the staged kidnapping, former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty disobeyed direct orders to stand down, saved American lives, single-handedly killed scores of attackers…and the attackers, believing that the Obama had betrayed them, tortured Ambassador Chris Stevens and dragged his body through the streets.

It’s clear. After being heckled at a San Jose fundraiser on Thursday, an annoyed PresidentBarack Obama told the man that he “screwed up” the end of his speech.

The fundraiser-in-chief was speaking to about 250 people who paid between $1,000 and $32,400 to attend, when a man began yelling just as the president was wrapping up his remarks, the Daily Mail reported.

Obama was talking about the importance of keeping the U.S. Senate in the hands of the Democratic Party when the unidentified man began yelling out about his freedoms as a voter, according to the Mail.

“Why don’t I talk about it later because I’m just about to finish,” Obama said, trying to press on. “You and me, we’ll talk about it.”

Undeterred, the man continued to yell.

“I love you back,” Obama joked. “You kind of screwed up my ending, but that’s OK!”

Obama is already competing for “Lie of the Year” with a recent claim he made during a fund-raising dinner that is being demolished by the Washington Post fact-checker. Here’s his comment:

“Here’s what’s more disconcerting. Their [Republicans'] willingness to say no to everything — the fact that since 2007, they have filibustered about 500 pieces of legislation that would help the middle class just gives you a sense of how opposed they are to any progress — has actually led to an increase in cynicism and discouragement among the people who were counting on us to fight for them.”

Either Obama is using some sort of hyper-advanced Common Core math, or he’s lying. Okay, he’s lying.

Indeed, when you go through the numbers, there have just been 133 successful filibusters — meaning a final vote could not take place — since 2007.

Wow, you mean President Harvard was off by nearly four times what the actual number is? Now, why would he do that? Oh, right – after failing terribly with foreign and domestic policies, Democrats’ only hope this midterm is to paint Republicans as being obstructionist and extremists. If only they were!

On just about every level, this claim is ridiculous.

We realize that Senate rules are complex and difficult to understand, but the president did serve in the Senate and should be familiar with its terms and procedures. Looking at the numbers, he might have been able to make a case that Republicans have blocked about 50 bills that he had wanted passed, such as an increase in the minimum wage. But instead, he inflated the numbers to such an extent that he even included votes in which he, as senator, supported a filibuster.

And for that, Obama earns their highest deception rating- “four Pinocchios”- to add to his already expansive collection of long-nosed trophies for lying.

A hearing into federal policies on marijuana enforcement turned turned into high drama Friday when a Texas Republican used the chance to try to find out basic facts about the Justice Department’s investigation of the IRS targeting scandal – and learned nothing.

Under sharp questioning by Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Texas, David O’Neil, an associate deputy attorney general whose responsibilities include public corruption investigations, was repeatedly unable to provide basic information about the IRS probe, including who is in charge of it and how many agents under his command are involved.

A cynic might think there wasn’t any investigation at all.

Jordan sounds like a cynic.

“The DOJ investigation has been a joke, as evidenced by Mr. O’Neil’s unfamiliarity with even the most basic details of the work being done by the division he oversees,” Jordan told the Daily Mail.

The IRS scandal broke a year ago, when Lois Lerner, then head of the IRS division for tax-exempt organizations, admitted the IRS had targeted conservative groups for additional scrutiny when they sought tax-exempt status in the run-up to President Obama’s re-election in 2012.

Groups with names that indicated they opposed the president had their applications delayed, which hindered their political effectiveness. Groups whose names indicated they were sympathetic to Democrat positions were spared the extra attention.

Since her admission, Lerner has invoked her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and has been cited for contempt of Congress and congressional Democrats and their liberal media allies have tried to bury the story — along with the terrorist attack in Benghazi that killed four Americans —as a “phony scandal.”

As Jordan made clear by using the marijuana enforcement hearing to press the case, Republicans aren’t letting the issue die.

And as a subcommittee chairman on Rep. Darrell Issa’s Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, he’s in a position to keep it alive.

“We are talking about the IRS violating the First Amendment rights of Americans, and we deserve a real investigation that helps us deliver justice,” he told the Mail.
