CHOSEN VESSELS
I Samuel 30:24
By Rev Dean Beaty 10/12/08
If I were a missionary on some foreign field,
Needing God’s wise leading of course to Him I’d yield.
But I’m just a simple layman I have no special calling.
It’s surely not my job to keep sinners from falling.
You don’t have to have “Pastor,” at the first part of your name.
We are all God’s servants; our goal should be the same.
Though one man is a preacher; and one might play or sing.
Each in his own special way, a message they will bring.
If cleaning up the Lord’s house to make it look just right,
Do it as unto the Lord with all your cheerful might.
When David’s weary warriors, stayed back by the stuff,
We learn if done for God, He’ll say, “It is enough”.
While one might be an arm, and another, the big toe.
God’s body needs them both if it is going to grow.
We all are chosen vessels in God’s most perfect plan.
So serve God where you are and do what e’er you can.
