Sunny Greetings from California to Everyone!

Thank you, Peter, Jim, and Ana-Maria, for this fun forum. Your hard work is appreciated.

Thank you for those of you who voted for my Rooster Cogburn. Also my sincere thanks to all of you for your warm congratulations.

I wish to take this opportunity to share with you a little bit background of Mr. Rooster Cogburn. I met Cogburn (my name for him) at the Artistic Point Gift Shop and Museum in the Arkansas Ozarks in mid afternoon on a Saturday in early summer this year. Next to the gift shop is a scenic overlook from which tourists can see  the beautiful Boston Mountains with Lake Shepherd Springs and White Rock Mountain in the distance. The gift shop was closed and no one was around. My husband and I were walking and looking around the area. Soon I noticed this gorgeous rooster proudly walked toward me. Then he stopped as if posing for a picture. Each time he heard my camera click, he would strike a new pose and wait for the next picture to be taken. Clearly he enjoyed the attention. After several pictures, he led us around to the entrance of the gift shop, checking occasionally to make sure we were following! He seemed to think it his duty to greet visitors, make an impression, and then escort them to the gift shop.

Later, as Cogburn strutted close to our car, he noticed his reflection in the shiny door panel and stopped to admire himself. He certainly made our afternoon delightful and memorable!

Rooster Cogburn, King Of Ozarks

Have an Awesome Weekend!
