Hi Dave and Sandy,

It's so funny Dave, we are both Canadians and I bet that both of us follow much closer USA election than ours,  I definitely do and so intensively, that I am laughing sometimes on myself.

Sandy, I am quite interested in this subject so I have read about it quite a lot, and in my opinion there is not one cause but many.  The crises are too extensive to be blamed on only one act.  Yes, of course I am a Democrat, but I am doing my best to look without my coloring glasses.

Warm Regards,

Merry

Hi Dave,

Thank you for your awesome post, and especially for watching out for your USA neighbors.  My greatest wish is:  "WAKE UP AMERICA to the criminality at large in your neighborhood!!"  I think this last week is doing it!  :-)

I would also suggest that everyone visit the DailyPaul web site at http://dailypaul.com.  There are a host of educational videos there daily.

May I also add my plea to help with the solution........thank you!  :-)

SENATE TO VOTE ON REVISED BAILOUT WED. EVE. REP. DEFAZIO SAYS TO FLOOD THE CAPITOL SWITCHBOARD - THEY ATTACHING B/O TO ANOTHER BILL

Representative DeFazio was just on Lou Dobbs with Rep. Marcey Katpur.

Lou will post the Senate switchboard number on his CNN website.

Capitol switchboard at (202) 224- 3121

Email or Call your Senators
http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/

The Senate is going to attach it to a more popluar bill.

BOTH DEFAZIO AND KATPUR HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE THAT WON'T COST A DIME AND REQUIRES NO BAILOUT LEGISLATION.

Contact Congress

Thank you and bless you,   Jill

Hi Jill,

Thank you for your great post and all the great links.  I hope at least some who have not looked into the reasons behind the mess will take a look at some of those links.

It seems that the bail-out bill has now passed in the Senate (74 - 25), meaning it MAY be just a formality for it to go back to Congress, whether they support it or not.  However, all Americans who are opposed to it can still contact their member of Congress.

The website to find all the information you need to contact Congress is http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/
You have just over a day left to make yourself heard!

The bottom line is, the members of both Congress and the Senate who SUPPORT making the necessary changes to the law to prevent something like this mortgage (and related insurance) mess ever happen again are the ones EVERY American should be looking for and voting for.  * (Hint - Senator Obama is NOT one of them!!) *

This could have been prevented in the first place if several REPUBLICAN bills had been passed ending the practice of creating (and insuring) mortgages for people who cannot afford them.  Contrary to the DEMOCRAT idea that giving mortgages to people who can barely scrape by is kind, it has, instead, saddled millions of people with debts they are now forced to default on, and in the end left them....  homeless.... anyway.

Now, not only are millions of people losing their homes, but the whole financial structure of the world's largest economy is in jeopardy, too.

Hopefully, when the dust has settled and the markets finally stabilize, everyone will wake up and DEMAND that this kind of mess cannot happen again.

Sadly, as a student of history, I don't think the majority will.

God bless,

Dave

Hi Dave, I will not negate that what you are saying about those mortgages and insurances is true, but will you debate that the problem was cased mainly by lack of control from the governing buddies and plain simple negligence?

Respectfully,

Merry

PS
Jill, I did look at your links, than you for posting them here.

Of course tonight I have not watched our debate but yours:-)
By the way, I liked it :-)
