I read this article By a charted physiotherapist in a magazine, thought it quite informative.
                              Pain
HORMONAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ME & WOMEN
  • Studies show that stressed- induced analgesia maybe  supressed by the sex hormone, ostregen.
  • Changes in sex hormones have been found to moderate pain (eg. menstrual cycle, pregnancy)
  • Accordingto some studies, gender  diferences in pain prevalence appear to attenuate afer the reproductive years.
  •  Brain function differences.
  • Structrural differences within the brain can affect how pain is processed; biologically women react to painstimuli at a lower threshold than men

  • Women & Migraine
