HORMONAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ME & WOMEN
Studies show that stressed- induced analgesia maybe supressed by the sex hormone, ostregen.
Changes in sex hormones have been found to moderate pain (eg. menstrual cycle, pregnancy)
Accordingto some studies, gender diferences in pain prevalence appear to attenuate afer the reproductive years.
Brain function differences.
Structrural differences within the brain can affect how pain is processed; biologically women react to painstimuli at a lower threshold than men
