Do You Know How To Harness The Power of The Internet?
9/15/2008 3:05:15 PM
Hi Everyone, I am here to talk to you as a trainer and not a marketer. As a seasoned veteran in network marketing, I have the privilege of working with other marketers of various calibre but I also have an obligation. When I came to the Internet years ago, i had no idea what I was embarking on and to my surprise, I had no idea what i had to deal with either. There were so many programs that I was just overwhelmed. I tried many programs, failed like many and went on from program to program in search of the right one. The problem I discovered I was having was not the programs, it was me. I wasn't giving programs long enough to mature and start to show their worth. Well, as time went on and I lost $1000's from joining every program under the sun, i said to myself, "This is enough", so I decided that I was going to start thinking smarter, and working the Internet a little differently. What I did was first, I looked to see what I was good at. it wasn't talking to people I can tell you that. I literally froze on the phone when trying cold calling. So, what I did was, I started to look closer at the programs themselves. I analyzed the in's and out's of the program. The marketing structure, the compensation plan and so on. This started to make a lot of sense. It also gave me mnore confidence when talking to people as i knew what I was talking about. the problem I had before, is I knew nothing about the company, it's products or the way it worked because all I did before was join and advertise my link. I started to look at the marketing tools companies were using like VoIP phones like Skype and conference rooms like Hot Conference. That's when I started to look at marketing completely differently. I began to market using the tools they used. I started to text message people on Skype and get them to add me as a friend. this is how I built by network. I learned how to make a page in html and then I put it in my room. I sat in my room for days on end waiting and waiting for people to come. I finally figured there was a better way to do this too, so I started to invite people to my room and my business started to blossom. I went from 1 of 2 people a month to literally 100's a day and all because I started utilizing different programs on the Internet to build my business. I am hoping that many of you that read this today, understand why I wrote this. If you are going to succeed in an industry, no matter which industry, you need to utilize all the tools possible to build your business. This is why I do what I do day in and day out. Some people think I am a program jumper and I can see why but in actual fact, I am using other programs to advantage myself and my team in our primary program. Now, 2 programs I am using to market my business are TeamWorksPay and Message Magic. I highly recommend these 2 programs as they can be used for any business on the Internet and you can use the money the compensation plan pays to finance your existing business if you need to. My primary program is Diamond Elite which is Network Marketer training, again, goes with any program. you can view these from this link: http://www3.telus.net/rmc/delite/ftch.htm The purpose here everyone is not to have you join our programs, but to give you a little knowledge on what is in the mind of a successful marketer and how they think. I enjoy training people, I enjoy seeing my members succeed and getting paid monthly over and over. I hope that with this little bit of information i shared here today, will guide you in the right direction if you have not found your way,

Hello Carl,

Great topic,

As for me I try to teach others how to use free things to build relationships with others. I also tell them that you are your business so everyone needs to know who you are in order to know what you do.

Its all about getting others to know you, so when they here your name they already know what you do.

You have to be literally every where developing those relationships. It is also about you helping them first. You know if you help others first then later when you need something because they know your helping others they tend to help you. Its kinda like calling in on a marker.

If you give of yourself first it does come back to you. So continue building relationships, helping others then it will come back to you.

Also in being productive in whatever you do one must decide how much do you want to give to creating success for ones self. It takes Passion, dedication and persistance to succeed. You can not be lazy and think it will happen from not putting effort into whatever you are creating. You must work it every day.

Just thought I would put in my 2 cents.

Great job Carl!!!

Hi Carl, and yes it is a different marketing world out there today. Tools are a great way to get your name and or program out there for people to see. But in the end relationships have to be built and a level of trust established. If you help people to acheive their goals then you will meet yours as well. You have to market your most valuable commodity and that commodity is YOU.

Marketing now involves marketing yourself and becoming recognized. An ad text, email or what ever and yes traffic exchanges too, are gone as soon as the person hits delete or moves on. Content on the other hand is there on the net forever. So learn how to write good content and people will always be able to find you. Remember content is King.
