Steven, you must have landed on the wrong forum too.  This is a discussion thread.

Golly the moon, the sun and Venus must all be lined up tonight.  How can two posts get on the wrong forum.

Duplication definitley works in advertising. However, I agree that some of these lack the creativity that could make them interesting, and perhaps even entertaining!

There are wonderful, creative people in this community. Let's recognize them for it whenever they demonstrate their skills here.

Hello Mary,

Interesting topic.

I have to be honest and say I am "guilty" of placing ads for the new community in prelaunch "Viral Networks" and will continue to do so. Read below and see why.

On a personal level I was invited to join this new community by Frank Bauer who I know for over 4 years with his add2it site and more recently as owner/partner of Viral URLs. Now one of the owners of Viral Networks is Colin Klinkert (his partner in viral urls) so I had a reason to join and promote the pre-launch of this community due to a good track record and good personal experience with the owners in the past.

I am a great believer in due diligence but with a program in pre-launch that's a bit more difficult and one has to depend on the owners past track record, service orientation and good name in the past. In both cases positive in my eyes.

I wasn't "waiting" for this program to be developed but I'm happy some one did. I don't hop on every band wagon and promote for the sake of immediate income and then jump to the next program. I'm one of those that prefer long term relationships with the companies I'm involved in.

Nor do I heavily promote a program that intends to charge exorbitant fees for something that can be gotten for free all over the internet and then cry wolf when my enormous down line from prelaunch doesn't upgrade.

Bad experiences can give one a sense of negativity but I've learned that from bad in many cases good can come out if we learn from our mistakes.

Many are guilty of copying and pasting and for programs in prelaunch it takes a while until you can prepare your own ad copy so the prepared ads do come in handy at first.

In any case I just thought I'd add my 2 cents worth in regard to Viral Networks and as someone wrote in an earlier post it might not succeed but the response so far is positive and since this is a free program there is nothing to lose and possibly much to gain in the future. For those interested in joining please use the link below.

Dennis  good point. Duplication of your efforts does work.  Make a good ad, then copy and paste to your hearts content.  Content is the problem, when false statements are made.

Here is one of my favorites too:  "I just joined........  You can make.........Get in now.   Do I even need to fill in the blanks.  If  a person just joined, how can you prove what you will make?  Why should I hurry and join when you haven't proved the value of the program.

Thanks for stopping in and I think you have a great suggestion for rewarding those creative people who write great ads.

Peter,  great points you made.  If we were to make a list of how to research sites, knowing a little about the owner would be at the top of the list.

If people here had searched out the name of a Big promoter here in Adlandpro using the title of Dr. (don't assume who it is)  they would have found his name of the Scam site as one who does not pay and runs.  Well he ran from here. One of our Adlanders lived right down the road from him and knew of his reputation. He stole from one program, built a new program claiming to giving a portion to charity.  His name definitely appeared on the scam list.

I keep this on my favorites list for reference.  These are not just reports from people who wouldn't work, as it takes 5 reports to get on the list.  Check out 'The wall of Shame'.  See anybody you know.

There should be no problem is promoting a pre-launch program.  However, one cannot brag about the amount of money they have made.  I well remember the Adlandpro member who claimed to have made a huge amount of money from Wazoo Social Community when they had not even paid out yet.  I think you were one of them that caught that and the ads soon stopped.

Pointing out such lies should not be feared and a I know you are one of the brave ones who would do so.
