Hello Thomas,

Thank you so much for this feature and for your excellent research and history of my little ol' Town of Thomasville, NC.  You never cease to amaze me with the amount of information about Towns and Cities throughout the World, wherever our Adland Friends may be.

It's now right at 1:15 AM in this little town, and as I mentioned in my PM just awhile ago, I have a very important Message to deliver in a few hours from now, and these old 61-year old bones are telling me to let them rest a little while.  Each and every one of you who has visited already and who will visit later, is very important to me and I want to personally Thank each of you.  I do not think that I can do that properly right now.  I will be back after Church on Sunday and may He Bless you all with a Peaceful and Restful Evening.

Before I go, as you mentioned Thomas, may we all pray for those suffering this evening down at the Gulf Coast from the horrific effects of Hurricane Ike.  Many of our dear Friends right here at Adland, and many who we may never meet, all need our Prayers.

Lord God, Most Merciful Father, we kneel before You this evening on behalf of all those whose families have been uprooted, whose homes have been destroyed, and for all of those who now stand bewildered and fearful in the midst of this tragedy: for the Injured, the Bereaved, and the Destitute.  You have told us that all of your Creatures, both Big and Small, both 2-Legged and 4-Legged, are Precious in Your sight O Lord.  These we commend to Your grace, O Lord, as well as all those who are seeking to help and to heal the Injured, and to comfort and calm the Bereaved.  From You alone, Father, can come the Strength found only in Your Word that will lift them up above their Darkness, that will lead them to the Light of Your Love, and that will Strengthen them in the assurance that You are ever present with them in their Suffering and Sorrow, that You alone can enable them to to find Purpose, Hope, and Peace in their Hearts and Minds once again.  These things we ask in the Name of Jesus, Your Son, our Lord and Savior.  Amen.

even though I'm not here at adland as much as I'd like to be  I do notice that you are always one of the first to go and congratulate others when they have won an award or if they are asking for help or encouragement oranything at all ..and you have a very kind, gentle and thoughtful heart..no wonder you're being showcased today!!..well done  ..I think you're a real gentleman and I see all your good deeds. Thanks for always being so kind to me.

Good Morning, Phil.

I know you will deliver your message with passion.  What a beautiful prayer.  The pictures I viewed this morning of the horror and destruction that Ike has left in his wake are weighing heavily on me.  I just want to leave and go to help, and know that is not possible, and I only have prayers to offer for the victims who have lost their homes, and the lives that were lost, andthe suffering of so many in the rebuilding of their homes and lives.  So, I join you in your prayer.
