Hello Luise :-)

Welcome to Romania!

I'm so happy to learn you loved "my place" Don't worry, Romania is already there for a few years and it will still last there a few more :-) I'll just work on adding something new from time to time ;-)

As soon as you like classical music let me greet you with George Enescu's - Romanian Rhapsody, accompanied by some marvelous landscapes from my country:

Enjoy the trip on the music's wings :-)

With friendship,

Nick my dear friend :-)

For you I guess I should look up for some poetry?!
I wonder what would you prefer?!... some folk or some written by a poet?! Hm?!?

Let me see what I can find for you ;-)

Well, I would invite you for an un-usual walk: come and join me in a Cemetery - I'm not kidding, and further more you will enjoy it - LOL

"Come ye all together, I’ll give you plum brandy, Drink this glass To forget your sorrows I’ll give you brandy from the barrel, Instead of one, you’ll see double. When I was alive I used to make strong brandy I left all this When I was 54."

"This is were I rest Moldovan Gheorghe is my name. I worked a lot with horses As long as I lived And now I come on a horse back To bring firewood for sale To those that have none. But I have come to the end of the road And have come to rest I would have liked to live longer And not come here to rot. I left this world at age of 59. Died in 1986."

Are you smiling? There is nothing wrong with smiling, is there? But what about if you’re in a cemetery and these are written on the cross of the people who passed away? This is how it is at Merry Cemetery a totally unique place situated in Sapanta, county Maramures, NW of Romania.

People’s short stories like short fables, tragic stories are told with humor. This is what this place is about & what makes it unique is making fun-smiling about the end, our end & adding humor where usually there is only tears, pain & black.

The Merry Cemetery from Sapanta:

I think I should put-up a thread about this! It is the way Romanian tradition sees relationship about life and death.

This is what, our popular ballad Mioritza, is about!

I hope you enjoyed this strange invite for a walk!

With friendship,
Anamaria

My very dear Luka :-)

Never mind your "lack of graphics" ... I'm sure you know the saying according to which the most important are your good will and good thoughts! ... besides your kind words make all for me!

Thank You!

YOU are the amazing! :-)
Yesterday, I've said something to Alex that ended it with: "as normal"!  Guess what was his answer?

"What is NORMAL?!" LOL

Let me introduce you Alex, till I'll have some time to show him how Adland works?!... and you'll meet

Well, Alex is the smaller and less hairier one ... trying to look scary alike  the "guy" from his back :-D

Greetings and hugs from me and Alex.

With lots of friendship,
Anamaria

My dearest Pauline :-)

How great to come here and to be you the one in the row! I'm just coming from your wonderful Article of Virtue! I so much like it and I think its so useful and gives a good reason to think for so many of us.

Thank you so much for the great Article and for every thing you do here for us... and for all the love you spread around you!

Hm, I'm not sure what could I give you as a gift - a piece of ROMANIA - may be this poem, of Nichita Stanescu, which is quite well translated and caries within some what the same message as your Article:

Nichita Stãnescu

The ascension of words

Thus, like the skin
of a shorn ewe, the day rises.

It is difficult to skin the self from a stone.
It is difficult to skin memory from a Greek.

But why should we talk about these!
After all,
light too has a skin,
light too can be skinned...
So
light too is guilty of being.

A gust of fresh air
comes with the millenium.
We are beautiful;
why should we not be beautiful?

We eat one another
only from hunger,
from adoration,
from structure,
from love.
It doesn't matter.
We are what we are,
that is, beautiful.

I carry my ever still blood
in my heart.
I carry my ever salt tear
in my eye.

I carry the angel in the middle of heaven.

From the book "Bas-Relief with Heroes"
english translation by Thomas Carlson and Vasile Poenaru.

With lots of friendship,
Anamaria
