There was a blurb on AOL this morning about lead in several top brands of lipsticks.

Lead molecules are larger than the molecules of most other contaminants, so never let your kids or grandkids eat anything that has fallen on the floor.  THERE IS NO "FIVE SECOND RULE"!  Anything food has been on the floor for even a moment can have lead molecules stuck to it, tracked in the house on the bottom of our shoes, also road pollution, lawn chemicals, anything that has been on the ground outside, dead animal germs, bird droppings, any kind of animal waste, you name it!

I made some mistakes there, in a hurry!  Any food that has been on the floor...!

It's a good idea for everyone to take their shoes off immediately when they enter the house,  not only because of tracking in dirt and contaminants, but it will also keep your carpets looking good longer.  Shoe soles and dirt will really wear down your carpets.
