In the Spirit of Giving
7/2/2008 10:35:07 PM
Hello friends, I am starting this new forum to talk about the spirit of giving and all the benefits that come from having a giving heart. I started this forum in response to Treasures Gift Book which is a new program designed with giving, (giving away a book),as the central theme of the program. You can visit the site here: http://www.treasuresgiftbook.biz/ng1172 I want to see the forum as a place we can celebrate the act of giving now matter how small that gift might be. When we give, automatically we receive. Please come and give with me in this forum. Nick

Hello all,

I just wanted to start this forum off with a very special story I just found at one of my favorite blogs. This is a truly moving story of giving. What is given is such a wonderful gesture I think you will all agree.

Here is the site: http://www.reason4smile.com/2008/07/02/one-lesson-from-my-grandma/

Take a look and let me know what you think. Bear in mind the writer does not have English as a first language.

And for this first post something from Treasures Gift Book

The truth about giving is we don't need a special day, holiday, or time of year to be kind to others."

Tip On Giving

One of the simplest things you can give to another, is a hand written note. I try to send two minium a week. I create my own using Publisher, and I also keep a stack of Thank You cards, which I collect, next to my desk.

The best gift you can give is a smile.

Nick

Nick,

Great idea for a forum.

The grandmother story was very touching.  Maybe, I am more aware now but I see the spirit of giving all around.  I see it in the animal kingdom too.

I am looking forward to everyones thoughts and stories.

Bless you,

Gail
