G-d bless you .. Sometimes you truly amaze me ! You see things from a spiritial prespective better than I thought .. Praise G-d.. Your assumption is correct we all need someone to help keep the wolves at bay.
Let's see what his word says about supporting each other ..
(JPS) Deut 32:30 How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had given them over and the LORD had delivered them up?
(KJV)Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
(ALT)2Co 10:2 Now I implore [you*], that when I am present I [need] not to act boldly with the confidence with which I am considering [or, planning] to be bold against some, the ones considering us as walking about [fig., conducting ourselves] according to the flesh.

1Th 5:15 See [that] no one repays evil for evil, _but_ always be pursuing the good, both for one another and for all.
1Th 5:16 Be rejoicing always!
1Th 5:17 Be constantly praying!
1Th 5:18 In every [thing] be giving thanks! For this [is the] will of God in Christ Jesus for you*.
1Th 5:19 Stop extinguishing [fig., stifling] the Spirit.
1Th 5:20 Stop despising [or, rejecting] prophecies.
1Th 5:21 But be examining all [things]; be holding fast [to] the good.
1Th 5:22 Be abstaining from every form of evil.
1Th 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you* completely, and may your* spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the Arrival of our Lord Jesus Christ!
1Th 5:24 The One calling you* [is] faithful, who also will do [this].
