What is your vision / Perception of Heaven??? Please respond. thanks kathy martin

There are many visions/versions of what people "think" heaven will be like. Personally, I don't believe I can subscribe to any of them. The true heaven will be so far beyond what we as humans can even dream and comprehend at this point. There are many that try to project it as a "perfect" version of how we expeience life as humans...again, I don't think this is the case. Many worry about being "with" their family in heaven, however I think in heaven we become part of a "heavenly body" that we can't even understand at this point. Take care, Chris

Hi Kathy, hmm difficult one. Do you mean heaven as in the Bible or Heaven on earth, or are they one and the same. If you mean heaven up there? there are only 144.000 places up there according to the good book. so I wont be going. lol. Chris I like your thinking but does that mean there will be no resurection in the physical sense and that we may end up as some sort of celestial soup?

Good evening Kathy and a really interesting topic to get the mind thinking.You could think of this as a situation you find yourself in when you get that feeling of everything being just perfect. You know when you're on holiday and the sun is just warm on your face (not burning) the waves are just gently lapping up the beach, your drink is chilled just how you like it. You can hear distant laughter that makes you feel good. You have no worries at all. You are with the people you love and you feel fantastic. Now that could be described as Heaven! Heaven to me is a place of peace, beautiful colours, beautiful people, a place that is free from war, where love is strong and friendship is natural. A place of being yourself without any worries. A place that puts you in the arms of the ones you love so very much and the one you love for your creation. I COULD GO ON Kathy but I will spare you the space!! LOL

Hi! Just thought I would throw this in for discussion about Heaven. The scriptures talk about the Heavens as opposed to Heaven and in such instances it is referring to the universe/sky/stars. Paul also mentions the term third heaven and it is suppose by some that the first heaven is the sky, the second is the stars/universe and the third is the place where God's throne is. In reference to the sky, read Genesis 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, on the seventeenth day of the second month-on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. In reference to the stars and universe, read Genesis 15:5 He took him outside and said, "Look up at the heavens and count the stars-if indeed you can count them." Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be." In reference to Heaven the place read 2 Corinthians 12:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows.
