Hi Jim,

As you know a post I made in the Articles Of Virtue was deleted by Sam by mistake since he wasn't aware that Leslye decided to "leave" the community.

Just by chance I left the forum browser open and it still had my post there before it wa deleted. I copied it and am reposting it here for the sake of posterity but won't repost it in the AOV out of respect for Sam.

You may delete it too if you wish.

Shalom,

Hi Sam & Friends,

Terry you hit the nail on the head. Respect in our discussions is a prerequisite whether one agrees or disagrees with the writer.

It seems that the discussion is moot in this case cos our "author" took a run for the hills it seems. "No  Name No Name".

Sorry Sam in my humble opinion and for the good of the AOV I think you should delete this thread and get a new one up ASAP.

Shalom,

Peter

Hello Peter,

Thanks for your comments and sharing your thoughts on this subject.  Organizational Behaviors have been practiced throughout history.  It is about the ideas and ways to manage a workforce.  These are generally practiced by employers through their human resource departments and taught in business classes to provide information on the many ways management energizes, compensates and controls the productivity of their employees.

Organizational Behaviors really do not have a place in an entrepreneurial mindset unless you plan to treat your fellow business partners as employees and set benchmarks for their performance and compensation, which organizers of any business opportunity have already done by providing a comp plan.

Thanks for sharing your insight and wealth of personal experience on this topic.

Hello Georgios,

I enjoyed the conversation that you, Peter and myself had as this AOV discussion blew up into a big issue, charged with the inability to have a discussion of differing opinions and eventually came down to personal character attacks, by the author of the latest AOV author.  Resulting in the person becoming a No Name entity.

That conversation resulted in this particular thread.  The decision to post this thread was supported during that discussion among friends.  The subsequent posts to this thread are quite supportive of my position in this circumstance.  I really appreciate that support here.

However it appears that some of us have two positions on the subject and that was quite a surprise to me.  As some of the parties involved seem to be saying different things in different places.

Thanks for your insights and sharing your knowledge.

Jim

Hi Jim and All ,

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAA that first post was truly upsetting to me an I was not even the one on the receiving end.

Here is my take for what that might be worth. If someone is going to write an article it would be best to stick with a subject or topic they truly understand and know inside and out.  A little knowledge can be dangerous. If you set yourself up for controversy than be ready to take a stand and do it with respect.
If someone disagrees with you as the writer then fine .. as I said on the other forum being online is much different than off in many respects and one needs to learn to be rather thick skinned at times and learn to let things go, because not everyone will agree with you and not every one will like you. Such is life !

Being respectful to the posters and viewers  is always in order and personal attacks are just plain rude. We should take pride in ourselves and show dignity in everything we do, that is just my opinion.

I have been both boss and employee neither was all that much fun.

Speaking of friendship if you would like to know where I stand .. I don't  mix business and friendship. I think if things go south I am in jeopardy of loosing a friend and the money is not as important to me as a friendship.

Ok, I will hush now! I have babbled long enough. Thanks for allowing me to say what I think here in your forum.

Blessings,

Geketa
