	Hello Brother Thomas, Thank you for passing this on. Shirley is on the list. I feel for her, gallstones are a major pain, without other problems on top.

	Hi Everyone, I wish to thank everyone that has sent their prayers and concerns. Shirley is under the weather right now, but as soon as she feels a little better she will be in to thank you as well. As soon as I told her that the beautiful Princess Rhina came by she perked up a little bit. I did too. All these years people have told me that I have a lot of Gall. They are wrong. It's been Shirley all the time.Oh, well!! I am hoping that she will be feeling better in a couple of weeks as we have some very important people coming by for a visit. Our new client Rick Hager from Cambridge, Ohio. If there is anyone in here from that area you must catch one of his performances. He is country with a Deep country voice. He often has the Famous Bogart Sister's as back-up singers. We are looking forward to their visit. As most of you know, we are still without transportation. Yesterday, I called a friend?, to see if she would take me to the store to get a few things. She gauranteed me that she would. The evening passed and she never showed up. Today is Sunday and it is impossible to get a cab. I walked a mile to one store to get the important stuff, cigarettes, anf than I took a bus to Marsh Supermarket. When I took the bus back I had about a mile and a half to walk back home. By now I had about eight bags of groceries. I undid my belt and looped two of the lighter bags to my waist and devided the rest, plus twenty-four rolls of toilet paper. I was trying to hurry now, because when I had called Shirley she was feeling miserable, and I had her cough syrup with me. As I crossed over a side street and waved to the driver allowing me to cross over, he turned the corner, stopped, rolled down the window and his wife asked, "Do you need a lift?" I smiled and said, "God Bless You!" On the way home,when they realized how far I would have had to walk the woman asked, "Were you going to walk this entire distance?" I smiled and said, "Yes, but God always walks with me." They both said "Amen." When I walked in the door, I told Shirley that this kind gentleman stopped to pick me up. She hugged him and thanked him and handed me the phone. Our good friend Dave, the only member of her band that keeps in touch with us, was on the other end asking if I was nuts. I could have called him. He had been out looking for me. Shirley and I have been through an awful lot of heartaches over the past twenty years along with a lot of good times as well. When I call a friend to ask a favor, it is not trivial. She needed her cough medicine to help her get better so that she can have her much needed operation. I had spoken to Dave on the phone last night, but felt that our friend would for once keep her promise to take me to get the medication. I chose not to call Dave back as it would have depressed me even more if he said no. Therefore, knowing that it would be a struggle, I chose the path that I did because I knew that when friends fail, GOD never does. I was confident that he would find a way, and he did. With the medication, she is beginning to feel a little bit better. The woman in the car asked me how long it would have taken me to walk home if they had not stopped. I told her about an hour and a half. She asked if it would have been worth it. I smiled and told her that if the medicine makes my wife better it was definetly worth it.
