As far as Age is concerned, it's just a State of Mind, but then, so is Everything, if you really think about it.  The real difference between Success & Failure is your State of Mind.  Here's a couple of short Poems to illustrate this.

My own personal age stopped at 39.  I simply add years of experience with each passing Birthday.  In March of this year, I reached 39 with 22 years of experience.

So as each Birthday passes, I always remind myself of what Marice Chevalier once said, " Growing old isn't so bad, once you consider the alternative."  Of course, as the years pass, and Gravity wears & tears on the old bones & joints, I'm also reminded of another favorite quote, from Leon Eldred, "If I had known I was going to live so long, I'd have taken better care of myself."

Once again, hope that your Birthday was Truly Special and that in the year ahead , all of your Fondest Wishes come true.

Thanks for coming back. I can't agree more. I'd go one step further and say it's state of mind and attitude. They are very close but with a difference.

You're a good counter. I mentioned in a previous post that my mother-in -law claimed every birthday was her 21st and she didn't add on the years. :) The kvetches of aging are inevitable but mind set and the right attitude overcomes all that.

Loved the additional poems and they are all so RIGHT.
