Oh Mary, Ed never worried about them pulling a gun, he just did not want them to find his Magnum 357. He was never afraid of the police. It sure was funny to watch the way he handled them!
You see Ed had a PAST! Not only was he trained to defend himself; he was trained in the use of any weapon available, use anything he could find as a weapon, and use his hands, feet, elbows, head, knees as weapons if necessary.
Ed was one of the kindest men I ever knew, which sure did not mesh with his background.
The only time I saw him really mad was when the cops came to his home and confescated his special bee - bee pistol with the pump action handle, which he used to shoot at Tom cats screaming and proweling at night.
