While I was working in Benghazi, I met my wife's parents two years before I met her. Her father was the senior-most Fellow in the Royal Collge of Surgeons and Physicians. We were married in London - after I finally took her parents' advice to go there to meet her. She was just completing her second doctorate at the Royal College. We eventually moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she opened her practice

We have two children. Our daughter has three degrees and is working in Washington, D.C. Our son is completing his PhD in physical chemistry in California.
