My name is Julie Thomsen. I am 59 years young! I live in Spokane, WA USA with my wonderful husband, Gene, my youngest son, Rick, his fiancee, Beth and his daughter, Hannah and her daughter Alyssa and her son, John.. I have 2 older sons and 1 younger (adopted) son (4 boys total), total of 10 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. We have 2 dogs, a rotteweiler/black lab mix and a blue healer/cocker mix, 5 cats and a huge tank of fish!(My house isn't big enough! LOL). Once my son gets his settlement and gets on disability, they will be getting their own place...then it will just be Gene and I and our dog, Honey!
Unfortunately, I have to make an amendment to this page....due to medical reasons (I am fighting cancer) my husband and I had to file for a divorce so I could get medical help for my treatment! We still live together nothing has changed except the legallities. I also have to take my name off of the house because I am not allowed ANY assets! As if that weren't enough...we had to put down our rott/lab mix...she had cancer only we didn't know until it was too late. We really thought Honey (almost 19 ) would go before Justice (12)
I work at the Spokane International Airport as a security officer but not doing what it sounds like...I check the tickets and ID before the passengers get to the screening area where TSA does the security check before the passengers get to their gates. I have been with this company for 71/4 years. . There aren't any benefits to speak of except a weeks paid vacation after a year and 2 weeks after 5 years...they offer medical but they don't even cover heart attacks or much of anything else...so most of us feel it is pretty worthless. The dental that is offered...you pay for a year before you can use it then it only covers a maximum of $500. a year! Again, pretty worthless!
Here is an update on my employment status:
I no longer work at the Spokane International Airport for the private security company. They terminated me while I was in the hospital (a day after surgery!) for having been on medical leave too long. In all fairness, I do have to admit that I had been off for11 months. I am fighting cancer and have had 2 surgeries in that 11 months and a series of 6 chemo therapy treatments (which I started again 2/07) Actually I think they did me a favor...now I don't worry about having a job or not and I can actually spend more time developing my online business!
I enjoy fishing and camping, walks in the woods, music, gardening (both flowers and food!) and most anything outdoors! I enjoy working with silk flowers...from floral arrangements to weddings and cemetary pieces. (My favorite time to do arrangements is Christmas.)
The first internet business I ventured into is SFI...Strong Future International. I enjoy the natural products we have...I use a number of them myself...from health and wellness products to cleaning products (which the National Parks department uses as well because it is safe for the environment as well as animals and humans!)
I also belong to PlugiInProfits, inboxdollars and sendearnings (these last 2 are paid-to-read e-mail programs).
Take care,
Julie T
