Worried about hearing these words? Few things are as difficult as having to leave your child when it's time to go back to work. Regardless of their age, few would disagree that not being at home is difficult for you and them. And there is a better way.

How does it or will it feel leaving your child at a sitter when you go or return back to work? For those of us who would rather stay at home with our children this is like a heavy rock lodged in the pit of our stomachs, it doesn't feel right at all!

My children and I experienced many benefits from my decision to work from home.

This special time, when your child is young, passes much too quickly even when days are spent together, never mind having to go back to work. I can't imagine all that we would have missed along the way if a full time job interfered!

Obviously, it is not only when they are young that they need or appreciate you being at home. Right up until and through their teens, school life and friendships are often challenging, that is where you can, if at home, provide much needed stability.

Kids love when you are at their sporting events, dance classes and other during school and after school activities (without the guilt of having to ask your boss for some time off!).
