Hello! Thank you for visiting. My husband, Stanley and I live in a country place in Missouri, USA. Our home, built of cedar with a red tin roof, is just up the lane from the building where I attended elementary school.
Stanley and I are the parents of 3 great children, Tara, Kristina and Michael. We have been blessed with 6 absolutely wonderful grandchildren ages 20 years to 5 years. Tara and her husband Scott live in Ohio with their 2 sons. Kristina and her husband Jason live in Missouri with their 3 children. Our son Michael and his daughter Jaden live just down the road from us.
I enjoy many things, but at the top of my list are: praise and worship, October vacations in the Smokey Mountains with my entire family, the sound of the ocean, rain on my red tin roof, classical music, curling up with a good book and a cup of hot tea, continued learning (Jaden and I are studying conversational Russian),meeting new people from around the world, cultivating friendships, flowers, snow, travel, my new computer and the internet.
Our family vacations are spent in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. We like our chalet to be high in the mountains so that we can enjoy the wonderful sunrise, sunset and the beautiful view of the valley below. My favorite part is stopping along the quiet mountain roads and listening to the music of the mountain streams. I really love going in October because of the beauty of the trees.
Goals are important in my life. August 2004 I was blessed with a trip to Russia and that created new goals for me. One of my goals is to return to Russia at least once a year for the rest of my life. I must admit that I left a large part of my heart there. I have a goal to help the people build churches and build homes for children in Russia.
Our 4 year old granddaughter sings a little song that goes something like this, "If you mess up, you don't give up, you just try, try again". I have always tried to live by that principle. No one has ever accused me of being a quitter.
I enjoyed the years that I spent as a Kindergarten teacher. Teaching doesn't pay much money, but it has many rewards. Now I need time freedom and financial freedom in order to accomplish the goals I have set. I praise God that networking brings opportunity to create wealth and time freedom.
