What I Feel of Mankind and Nature
7/28/2008 9:05:39 AM

Imagine Her Pride

Look around when you are outside

in the open one day,

See the animals of Nature run around

together and joyfully play.

One minute they are playing then

they turn aside to protect,

They know who friends and enemies

are they can not select.

This would feel so real to see as these

Animals running so wild,

When others only vision like this in dreams

so but it is only so mild.

Not ever really understanding what it is

like to run and play all while,

Watching for the hunters who chase

them in life every mile.

Without the human hunters they would

feel safe in all they do,

Then again they can hunt the humans

but wiser than them too.

Being raised in the wild gives them a

better known survival instinct,

As when they do not follow this it is not

long before they become extinct.

They have found mankind does not

let them have time to breed,

Being hunted all the tine only out of

what is called human greed.

Mankind does not even let those of Nature

heal their wounds that do appear,

If its not started now even they can and will

become extinct from their fear.

The Tiger’s, the Leopards, The Zebra’s,

and The Lion’s with their mane,

The Deer’s, The Wolves, The Bear’s,

The Elk before they go insane.

The Horse’s, The Geese, The Duck’s,

The Mule’s and our Cattle,

Protect these animals before they are

extinct and lose the battle.

So let us “Mankind” show how we

should feel deep inside,

By letting the creation of Nature live

and show off all her Pride.

Hi Michael,

I really like this one having seen wild animals in the Kruger
National Park, and your poem evokes those memories.

Enjoy your day,

Jen

Hello Michael, My Poet Friend and Literary Partner :)

I love nature, but sometimes nature does not love me. I do wish at times that I was more attentive to Mother Natures needs. She gives so much and gets so little. The animals can tend to suffer most. Thank You for the Timely Reminder as nature is renewing itself every day through fire, water, and natural selection. We do not need to add anything to her job, it is not ours.

Hi Jen,

Thank-you for coming by and sharing how this Poem brings back fond memories to you.

Mother Nature and the gifts she shares with us everyday bringing out the Beauty of the things around which some of us take for granted.

Blessings,

Michael
