Who can remember the film 'The Mission'? The Spaniard was determined to carry many swords etc up a waterfall to the native people that he wanted forgiveness from. However hard he tried he fell back down, until the natives cut the load from his back. They knew that the way to success was to be freed from the past....not to carry the past with you.
