Hi Davida,

I agree with most of what you wrote. Attitude and self esteem are definitely intertwined and are an important factor in ones success in life. A negative environment home can certainly affect the individual but the "cure" doesn't necessarily have to be intensive therapy.

There are many other ways to overcome the handicap and first and foremost is the desire to change. Once again attitude comes into play.

I couldn't have said it better my self. :) The combination of  positive attitude, learning and adapting to change is the basis of meeting all the challenges life throws at us. We all go through twists and turns in the path of life and finding the pointers that direct us in the right direction is part of our learning process.  

I must agree that maintaining success is just as hard as overcoming failure and defeat, one must learn how to do both.

I totally agree. New beginings can be also be an extension or broadening of past actions but necessitate the knowledge to conquer the new direction.
