I want to let our new members know about a forum that they can go to and learn from. Mary Hofstetter has written up a great forum called, "We Never Stop Learning" and she has posts there ranging from "Inviting Friends" to "Friendly Behavior" and much more.

Thank you Marilyn, I need to get back on that project and move beyond making friends and making a forum. Adlandpro has so much to offer. That is good, but it does make it more complicated for the very new networker. Take it from a lady that did not know what a url was nor how to post, it can be done. So please take Marilyn's invitation seriously and leave messages to ask questions or leave comments.

Thanks for the reminder about Mary's valuable forum.  She has been a great influence to many, including myself. 

Mary, I applaud you and your teaching manner is great! 

I have coined this response to friend invites that include advertisements.  In real life, do you become friends with the salesman that knocks on your door?  I am cordial but we seldom become friends.  However, when I become friends with someone and get to know them, I generally find out or inquire what they do for a living.  THEN if I need that product, service or program, I will usually turn to a friend in the business.  Make Sense?

My reply to invitations that are just a advertisment:

I am happy to accept new friends. 

But your invite seems to be an advertisement for your business interest.

Did you really want to become friends or did you just want to send me an ad?

I accept your invite with reservations.

In the furture, you may receive more approvals to your invites by not including an ad in your invitation.

You should use your signature for links to your business or personal web site.
