I had heard before about the U.S. having restrictions on showing the toilet.  Here we have hyundreds of adverts that show cartoon like 'germ' monsters lurking down the bend, in the bowl, crawling on the seat and lurking under the rim.  Of course the housewife/husband always wins the battle with the bottle of what ever they are selling!

This  year we had a film called "Flushed Away" about an uptown pet rat that got flushed down the toilet - full water park ride ride style, going round and round the bowl before finally going down the shute.  He then had to endure the completely different lifestyle of the town of rats and other creatures that lived in the sewers.  It was brilliant!!!!  It's now out on DVD so I think I will get it to watch again LOL.
