Phishing and Pharming is very common on our days.
To be sure you are in a legit site, write it on your browser, don't ever click links on emails, specially if you don't know the sender. And even if you know the sender ask her/him if they really sent the email.
Any way, no serious payment processor or any kind of business will ask for your personal info through an email, specially usernames and passwords.
If you are being asked for this info, it is 100 % probability that it is a phishing scam.
Yes, paypal has an affiliate program. My affiliate site is:
https://www.paypal.com/us/mrb/pal=L2x9FEzSR7WXN
Safepay has a similar link, but I cloaked it:
http://www.antoniosweb.com/safepay.html
See the difference between a cloaked link and uncloaked one?
If the link is not cloaked, you must be aware of the "s" after the "p" in the "https" address. All payment processors must have that s to be a secure site.
The s means secure.
Sincerely,
Antonios
