The Final step in the process of deliverance is freedom from the devil. Two things are worth pointing out here. 1.First,freedom from the devil is sometimes necessary because people can come under unholy influences by participating in or becoming involved with occult practices and behavior. 2.Second,freedom from the devil may be considered necessary simply because of prevalent negative thought patterns and associations. This kind of problem is common to all believers and falls into the catogory of temptation. Practical and spiritual steps are necessary to combat patterns like these and involve recognizing them for what they are andconciously putting the mind on or filling the mind with positive thoughts such as scriptures verses,choruses or hymns.
