Hi Terry,

This brings to mind "Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach him HOW to fish and he eats for life".

Warm regards,

Jen

Hello Yvette,

Thank you for visiting the Grapevine.

This is information regarding the 50-30-10-10 Forumula ... its how to divide your income.

50% ... Savings for Future Use (Teaches Delayed Gratification!)
30% ... Spend on yourself NOW ... important step for attaining goals
10%
... Retirement & Legacy
10% ... Charity (Donations, Gifts, etc)

Its not so easy for people who have been working and living pay check to pay check.  For those people I suggest starting with the 2 10%.

However, the complete formula can be done for bonus money earned, winnings, gifts, etc.  Its also a very good system to use as your netmarketing business(es) begin to pay.

In Back 2 Basics, I show exactly what you would be earning and how to use the formula so your expenses are covered quickly.

The formula works very well for teaching children before they grow up and create a massive amount of debt.

Its important that they learn to divide their money this way everytime they receive their allowance, monetary gifts, etc.

Its also important they are the ones to make the deposits into their bank accounts.  This gives them a sense of ownership and pride.

As Denis Waitley says, teach them the forumula while they are young and they will never want for anything throughout their life.

Smile & Have A Great St Patty's Day

Sincerely,

Terry

Hi Terry, I did watch that story on Oprah for the second time and was a little bit disgusted when that homeless man tried to blame "society" for his troubles when Oprah stopped him cold in his track, by basically telling him that he should take responsibility for his actions because he was given an opportunity and blew it by his own choice.

Hello Pauline,

Thank you for visiting the Grapevine.

I believe in personal responsibility and I certainly agree that he wasn't taking any of it.  I felt bad for him anyway.  I guess because it was a human experiment and in so many ways I feel it was mean.

Of course had the outcome been different, it would be a whole other story wouldn't it?

We love those happily ever after ones, but unfortunately, all too often they are just the fairy tale and not reality.

For myself ... I am forever grateful for all that I have ... all that I am and all that I can be.

Sincerely,

Terry
