Re: If A Program That Was Designed For Click Through income And You Get Paid ...

Hi Ken,

I am pretty sure I know which program your talking about and here are my feelings on it as a member of the program .

If advertisers are paying for their ads. to be viewed, then it shouldn't matter how they are viewed as long as they can be seen by the person or possible client at the other end .

I agree that many will just use the viewbar as simply another source of income but, I also feel that the cost of advertising will be more than covered by those who actually make a purchase .

Fortune 500 companies pay big bucks for advertising with no problem at all since, I'm pretty sure they recoupe most of their advertising costs through tax reliefs from the expense of doing business .

I have no problem at all getting my piece of their huge profits .

Hi Kenneth,

I agree with John and Judy. Getting hit with clicks with no intentions of purchasing a product at any time is very expensive.

I think it's only unethical if the advertisers don't know their ads are being viewed in an incentivized program.

I personally have advertised through incentivized programs and they do work for some things (such as other incentivized programs and free programs). But for most things paid-to-click programs are untargeted advertising and as a result they give advertisers a poor return on investment.

Google advertisers, however, have assurances from Google that they're ads are not being displayed in incentivized programs because those types of programs are against the Google Adsense Terms of Service.

Incentivized clicks or searches via Adsense ads would constitute click fraud because it is against Google's rules.
