James :

We also do footwashing, only women are allowed to wash women and men , men's feet  of coarse couple are allowed to wash each others. I love the service as it has taught me much about humility .. A lesson I much needed to learn ..

Blessings ,

Geketa

Geketa, when we consider the price that was paid for our salvation, humility is just a small token of appreciation for what He did for us. I know I need more humility in my life!

As a Presbyterian, the communion is open to all who believe in Christ and the resurrection.  The communion is given with bread (both leavened and wafers are available) and purple grape juice.  It's given in a wee paper cup like the hospitals use for giving pills, even so...I'm pretty sure it's not wine.

Hi Kate, sorry for the delay in my response! I've been on the road for a few days with limited access to the internet. In the SDA church we use unfirmented wine, and it is dispensed in miniature shot glasses. After  a scripture and a prayer, the wine is taken in and then placed in a rack behind the pew in front of where you are sitting.
