Today, my husband quit his job. He worked, managing a 1600 acre ranch for a millionaire from Ohio.

The rich guy didn't want to pay my husband what he was worth, and we were negotiating a new contract. Last night, the boss called and screamed at me because he could get a hold of my husband on his cell phone. So, Jeff quit. "...No one screams at my wife," he said... "not even me!"

This is what his letter of resignation said:

Hello, Dave!

Those are well worth pondering.  My mum is very skilled at diplomacy and would have made an excellent diplomat.

When it comes to lending money (especially to family and friends) I am a pessimist.  In everything else, I am optimistic.

And, that last one is a clincher!  I don't have the answer, but I do come up against the situation all the time in my work.  Only one fool at home and that's me...you know, the one who lets the cats and rabbits live in my house with free room and board and absolutely no work out of them.
