Hi Bill, I applaud you for bringing the plight of the mentally ill to the forefront. In this country we seem to pay more attention to sports figures, movie stars, and singers than to people in need. Perhaps this is just a way to escape from daily problems. There aren't many people advocating for the mentally ill. They are forgotten people, sad to say. DonnaZ

Hello Donna Thank you for stopping by my forum and posting your comments. It is true that we seem to place more value on the more frivolous aspects of our lives than we place on our mental health. It is odd too because without a healthy mental state we cannot really enjoy the other parts of our lives completely. I believe that life was meant to be enjoyed by all who experience it and that we must all do what we can to help others enjoy life to it's fullest. I know for me, much of the joy in my life is derived from helping others. I don't claim to be an expert on mental health but I do have enough life experience to make it worthwhile sharing this experience with others. I will continue to spread the message of hope to those who suffer for as long as I can and I will always appreciate people like yourself who are willing to help me spread this message.
