And my dear friends, here are Baby my 14 year old Cockatiel and Beenie my 7 year old cockatiel. They can live to be about 30 years old! They require extensive care and nutrition, as all birds do, but mine especially because I did not feed Baby the correct diet for 7 years and Beenie is terrified of hands. So I need to make sure Baby gets enough of the right things to eat and Beenie get's much needed patience from me. I need to make sure Beenie does not eat all of Baby's food up! They both also need an equal amount of attention "sweet talking" and petting! Birds are very sensitive and emotional creatures. Birds are high maintenance. You need to bird proof your home and beware of what is toxic in your home and food to birds. You must clean up their areas every day.


Beenie is on the left and Baby is on the right. They are sitting on my lap ontop of a flannel blanket. It's easy to clean and warm for their feet :)
