Would Israel sell drones to Hitler?

Israeli scholar speaks out against arms sales to genocidal nations.

… by Ian Greenhalgh

When it comes to matters of genocide, the Israelis have a horrible track record; both of having carried out genocide themselves and of having profitted from lying about having suffered genocide themselves.

Therefore it is very welcome, albeit surprising that a leading Israeli scholar on the subject of genocide has spoken out to condemn his nation for both the sale of arms to enable others to commit genocide and for failing to recognise the suffering of other races who have experienced genocidal attacks.

Bravo Mr. Charny, for this bravery in speaking out, you are a real mensch. I just wish more of your countrymen would follow your lead and pressure the Israeli government into a change of policy.

__________

29 April, 2016, YEREVAN, ARMENPRESS.

Israel Charny refers to 4-day war in Artsakh: Would Israel sell drones to Hitler?

Suppose the Nazis were not murdering Jews but were murdering ‘only’, say, Slavs, Gypsies, and Jehovah’s Witnesses; and suppose our beloved State of Israel were in existence: Would you agree to our selling arms to the Nazis? With this rhetoric question executive director and co-founder of the Institute on the Holocaust and Genocide in Jerusalem, Israel Charny started his article “Would Israel sell a used drone to a Hitler?”

Charny makes a reference to the information that Israel is reported to have sold billions of dollars worth of arms, including to governments that are killing or threatening to attack civilians. He also reminds that last week there came reports that an Israeli drone in the hands of Azerbaijan – a huge arms customer of Israel – was responsible for the deaths of six Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh. And most recently Azerbaijani military transport planes were reported to have landed in Israel (perhaps to pick up and deliver arms) during the war with Armenia.

“I am ashamed.

The Armenians were the victims of a major genocide 100 years ago that has even been called the “Armenian Shoah” by some Israeli scholars, including from Bar Ilan University. A great deal of their national and cultural ethos continues to focus passionately on the memory of that genocide (does that sound familiar to us Jews?). For many years now, we Israelis – whether led by Labor or Likud – have insulted and hurt the Armenian people by failing to recognize their genocide officially and formally. Would we ourselves tolerate another government – say the US or England – refusing to recognize the Holocaust because of their realpolitik interest with the perpetrator government? One senior Armenian official has written several of us in Israel to express his deep pain as well as indignation, not only at our government’s cowardly and self-serving denials of the Armenian Genocide, but also at our thick military trade alliance with the Azeris, a Turkic people who adhere to Turkey’s bizarre and fascist tradition of rewriting history and denying the Armenian Genocide.

I am reminded of the prophet Natan crying out to King David for an earlier though more delectable murderous act of selfinterest, or Elijah remonstrating Ahab about his murderous larceny: It’s bad enough that you killed him, are you also taking a profit from the sordid affair? (In the Hebrew: “Haratazachta v’gam yarashta?”)

In general, how willing are we Israelis to strengthen our economy by lucrative arms sales? Of course, “everyone” in the world is doing it, but do we have to also? Have we given up the vision of Israel as a moral leader of peoples on this planet?

Is this idea tiresome, naïve, and childlike in a madly destructive and self-destroying world?

An alternative principle could be that we build arms first and foremost for the defense of Israel, and that we supply arms only to underdog peoples who are facing mass destruction and to allies like the US that are essentially committed to shared democratic values and to peace. Of course we will still make some mistakes, but at least our conscience will be more clear that we have not delivered arms to the ‘Nazis.’

To my Armenian colleagues and friends, I can only say that as a Jew and as an Israeli, I am mortified – and angry”, Israel Charny says.

Israel W. Charny is executive director and co-founder of the Institute on the Holocaust and Genocide in Jerusalem.

POLITICALLY BANKRUPT; EUROPE AND U.S. STRUGGLE TO SAVE TERRORISTS IN ALEPPO

الجيش السوري

ALEPPO:
From the very beginning of this conflict in March 2011, the West and its Arabian monkey puppets like Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE, aimed to take over a major Syrian city in order to establish a competing power in the country which could challenge the writ of the Damascus central authority. Ideally, the fattest prize would have been the capital city. When that didn’t happen and it seemed too daunting a task, the focus fell on the huge industrial capital in the north, Aleppo which had for, at least 2 years, resisted the efforts of the terrorist cannibals to enter the city. Aleppo, like Damascus, and like most of Syria, for that matter, is a multifaceted, demographically variegated crazy-quilt of minorities sprinkled throughout the majority Sunni population. And the Sunnis of Aleppo, are not known for their militancy or fundamentalist thinking. To the contrary, Aleppo remains Syria’s major center for the Sufist branch of Sunni Islam – a branch known for its spirituality and pacifism.

Damascus could not be broken for reasons we knew, here at SyrPer, having to do with the Zionist front. The Syrian Army was trained on fighting in the South and on the Golan where it expected all wars to start and end. Thus, the SAA concentrated its efforts on sealing the border with Jordan to prevent a Zionist Army flank movement from the South and on the Golan which Syria is intent on recovering from the claws of the Zionist rodents who now occupy Arab Palestine (Southern Syria). Constant assaults on the capital city led to nothing but occasional bombardment of serene, mixed neighborhoods in Jaramaanaa and ‘Adraa. In the final analysis, the terrorists of Jaysh Al-Islam were only able to infest the Eastern Ghouta from which they are now being slowly, and inexorably expelled. Other areas in the Qalamoon were eventually deloused.

But, Aleppo, seemingly safe, was vulnerable if only the Saudis could lean on Erdoghan enough to open a new front, a front upon which the Syrian Army did not concentrate. It was always assumed that the only trigger for Syrian-Turkish conflict was the Kurdish dimension; a matter which was resolved years ago when Abdullah Ocalan was exiled to Greece and, then, Africa. (He was captured by a Turk special operations unit in East Africa and returned to Turkey where he is doing a life sentence on Imrali Island.)

The Saudis found a receptive ear in Ankara, what with Recep Tayyip Erdoghan in power. The United States also played a part in opening doors from Turkey to Syria early on in order to arm the terrorists now collecting in large numbers in areas like Hatay, Gaziantep and Adana. Let’s forget about Hillary Clinton’s own involvement in sending Libyan weapons to Turkey in order to arm the anti-Ba’ath murderers via the criminal efforts of Christopher Stephens, the openly homosexual U.S. ambassador to Libya and a closet CIA agent (just like Robert Ford). That Benghazi episode will come back to haunt Clinton soon enough, but, it was a window into what was going on with the U.S. and NATO’s efforts to unseat a very popular Syrian president. That Erdoghan was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood is lost on no one. He was receptive.

Erdoghan, also, had other motives. Aleppo was a major hub for the Ottoman Sultans ruling from the Sublime Porte in Istanbul. Anyone who ever lived in Aleppo, as your editor has, cannot but take note of the substantial Turkic/Armenian influences in everything from the speech patterns to the cuisine of the inhabitants. Erdoghan saw the Saudi and American overtures as an invitation to expansion; a justification for the pipe dream of a renewed empire with him as the revivified Sultan (or maybe Caliph). As absurd as this may sound, nations do not necessarily conduct business based solely on interest. There is the element of human frailty and gullibility. There is the element of psychosis which is what sunk Hitler in Russia and what is sinking Erdoghan today in Syria.

It took a long time for the Syrian Army to grasp the tactical challenges of shifting its priorities from the south to the north. But, with Russian and Iranian assistance, the transition to a country-wide battle, became a reality which we are watching today in Aleppo.

Aleppo is the penultimate goal for the government. Once it is liberated completely, talk of “political solutions” or “transitional governments” will seem banal, even meaningless. The U.S. and its allies know this which is why there is an explosion of diplomatic activity to rein in the SAA and its newly energized air force. They are trying desperately to stop the onslaught which, we predict, will result in the complete routing of the rodents in all of Aleppo City within the next few weeks. The Arab League, inspired by the cockroach-state of Qatar, is conducting an emergency meeting with a complete focus on Aleppo. The Qataris, through their propaganda-lie machine, Al-Jazeera, are ramping up the rhetoric, accusing the government in Damascus of “war crimes” and the like. Needless to say, nobody pays much attention to an ugly, overused prostitute like Al-Jazeera.

These kinds of techniques: trying to build up a furor amongst the public to justify direct intervention militarily is not going to work because the Russian administration has made it pellucidly clear that no “pressure will be applied to Syria while it is fighting terrorism”. This is Qatar’s nightmare. With a member of the Security Council obstructing the endeavor to save the last remaining Alqaeda rodents inside Aleppo, Qatar’s ruling pack of rodents has to deal now with the fact that it has lost over 100 billion dollars in reserves to support the maniacal war against the Syrian people.

The Saudis are even in a less enviable position. They have lost their special relationship with Washington. They are suing for peace in Yemen hoping to save some face through a negotiated return of their immensely unpopular factotum, Al-Haadi, to power. The recent statements by Houthi leaders indicates that the talks are going nowhere despite Kuwaiti nonsense mentioning a soon-to-be-announced “historic agreement”. In fact, the Ansaar-Ullah fighting machine has just liberated the Al-‘Amaaliqa military base opening up a Croesus-sized arsenal of weapons to be used for killing Saudis. The Saudis are up the creek without a paddle, so to speak. And their leadership is rudderless and naïve. We are watching to slow descent of the House of Saud into a cesspool of decrepitude.

Yesterday and today, the Syrian Army has advanced deeper into the Al-Raashideen Quarter liberating 8 buildings and killing 4 snipers. The terrorists here are almost all Alqaeda members and face a terrible destiny as our army batters them relentlessly from the nearby Dhaahiyat Al-Assad. SyrPer has received accurate reports of deepening ammunition and water shortages amongst the rodents in this area. We are confident it will fall soon enough because rodent chatter indicates a complete breakdown of morale with openly voluble expressions of lack of confidence in leadership. There are no supply routes left.

There are no supply routes left.

North Atharyaa: The SAAF blunted an ISIS suicide operation here by firing rockets at a gathering of terrorist hyenas. No other details.

South of Khanaassir: The SAAF attacked ISIS leaving scores dead ant wounded.

Al-Kallaasa: 17 terrorists killed in a quality operation near the Southern Cemetery where a group of Alqaeda vultures were gathered. Here are the only Syrians identified among the piles of manure:

Arkaan Hussein Tawfanji

Zhaafir Shaakir Baabaa

Muhammad Anwar ‘Aabideen

Muhammad Husni Al-Qaysi

Zaki ‘Umar Al-Kilaawi

The rest were all foreigners.

CDC Admits Fabricating Link Between Zika Virus And Microcephaly

Posted on April 16, 2016 by Sean Adl-Tabatabai

Amid a media frenzy over the spread of the Zika virus worldwide, the CDC have been forced to admit that people are able to self-immunize against the virus, and have also suggested that Zika itself does not cause Microcephaly.

On their own website, the Center for Disease Control, say:

People usually don’t get sick enough to go to the hospital, and they very rarely die of Zika. For this reason, many people might not realize they have been infected. Once a person has been infected, he or she is likely to be protected from future infections.

Naturalnews.com reports:

In other words, a Zika virus infection usually produces no symptoms, requires no hospitalization and builds self-immunity against future Zika exposure. The CDC refuses to describe it this way, of course, because there’s a fortune to be made spreading Zika scare stories and selling Zika vaccines to people who largely don’t need them. The visual shock factor of babies with shrunken heads makes the media frenzy an automatic success, even if those shrunken heads were caused by something else entirely.

Many doctors in South America believe that microcephaly is caused by a larvicide chemical linked to Monsanto, and that the Zika virus scare is just a cover story.

A group of doctors from South America are now saying the brain deformations the world is witnessing are caused by the mass fumigation of low-income Brazilian people with a chemical larvicide, not by mosquitoes carrying the Zika virus. From the doctors at Red Universitaria de Ambiente y Salud (the Red University of Environment and Health):

“A dramatic increase of congenital malformations, especially microcephaly in newborns, was detected and quickly linked to the Zika virus by the Brazilian Ministry of Health. However, they fail to recognise that in the area where most sick persons live, a chemical larvicide producing malformations in mosquitoes has been applied for 18 months, and that this poison (pyroproxyfen) is applied by the State on drinking water used by the affected population.”

Is the CDC lying about Zika and microcephaly?

The entire U.S. media, predictably, is going with the CDC’s “official story” which ridiculously concludes that all brain deformations are caused by the Zika virus, dismissing any link to chemical exposure or other causes, even when the CDC openly admits microcephaly is caused by exposure to toxic chemicals (see below). Yet, interestingly, the entire CDC page on Zika symptoms, diagnosis and treatment doesn’t even mention microcephaly.

Just two days ago, the CDC officially announced that Zika causes microcephaly, stating, “Scientists at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have concluded, after careful review of existing evidence, that Zika virus is a cause of microcephaly and other severe fetal brain defects.”

Even if such a conclusion is true, this in no way means that all cases of microcephaly are caused by the Zika virus. Microcephaly may have many causes, including exposure to chemical larvicides. The CDC is well known for conflating scientific findings to favor their politicized agenda, exactly as it has done in covering up the admission of CDC whistleblower Dr. William Thompson, who admitted to taking part in a massive vaccine science fraud at the CDC.

The CDC’s own page on microcephaly admits that the condition has many different causes, including exposure to alcohol and toxic chemicals:

The causes of microcephaly in most babies are unknown. Some babies have microcephaly because of changes in their genes. Other causes of microcephaly, including severe microcephaly, can include the following exposures during pregnancy:

– Certain infections during pregnancy, such as rubella, toxoplasmosis, or cytomegalovirus
– Severe malnutrition, meaning a lack of nutrients or not getting enough food
– Exposure to harmful substances, such as alcohol, certain drugs, or toxic chemicals
– Interruption of the blood supply to the baby’s brain during development

Finally, the CDC also admits it is simply guessing that Zika causes microcephaly. As admitted directly in the CDC’s article about the subject: “…no single piece of evidence provides conclusive proof that Zika virus infection is a cause of microcephaly and other fetal brain defects. Rather, increasing evidence from a number of recently published studies and a careful evaluation using established scientific criteria supports the authors’ conclusions.”

The CDC functions as a front group for vaccine manufacturers

Sadly, the CDC is a vaccine-promoting front group for Big Pharma and therefore has zero scientific credibility to begin with. Thus, any “conclusions” it reaches are not believable except by the gullible or cognitive impaired. The CDC, remember, was part of the scaremongering scheme that hyped up Bird Flu fears, collaborating with the WHO to fabricate a stage six global pandemic that was wildly exaggerated (to sell more vaccines, of course). This strategy sold so many vaccines to so many governments around the world that, for the next several years, cities, states and nations spent millions of dollars hiring companies to dispose of the expired vaccines.

The CDC has also spearheaded a massive cover-up of vaccine side effects, committing large-scale scientific fraud to promote the financial interests of the vaccine industry, which now has the potential for earning billions in profits from Zika virus vaccines. It is no coincidence that the former head of the CDC, Dr. Julie Gerberding, is now the top executive of Merck’s international vaccine operations. She was the top dog at the CDC and oversaw the agency while Merck carried out a massive science fraud concerning mumps vaccines, according to statements from two former Merck virologists.

In other words, the reality of how this all works is that CDC officials protect and promote Big Pharma’s vaccine profits, then those same officials are rewarded with multi-million-dollar salaries and bonuses upon leaving the CDC. It’s the old “revolving door” between government and corporations, and it means that no scientific announcements made by the CDC can ever be trusted because they are likely influenced by people who hope to land lucrative jobs at vaccine manufacturers. Thus, when the CDC declares that Zika viruses causes microcephaly, the correct response to such a statement is, “Who’s going to make money off this? And how is the CDC manipulating science to generate corporate profits?”

As Obama Preps To Send Troops Into Syria The US Gov’t Is Already Planning Their Next Major Coup

by Claire Bernish , The Free Thought Project

A nonviolent coup to depose a democratically-elected president and install some of the most corrupt politicians — who, not coincidentally happen to be favored by the U.S. political establishment — is currently underway in Brazil. As the public’s attention zeroes on the readying of troops for deployment to Syria, the U.S. government has been able to quietly lend its approval to the crooked and baseless move to oust Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.

Indeed, though the controversy over quintupling U.S. ground troops in Syria — despite vows by the Obama administration at least 16 times there would be ‘no boots on the ground’ — constitutes a valid and pertinent debate, it can’t be allowed to obfuscate what’s taking place in Brazil.

To understand the importance of the ongoing tumult, you need only look at who matters to both the Brazilian and U.S. political elite — and it clearly isn’t the 54 million people who re-elected Brazil’s first female president just 18 months ago.

In fact, the U.S. State Department has all but publicly asserted its support for the usurpation of power by Brazil’s center-right Social Democracy Party (PDSB) — perhaps because, as has beensuggested by many, U.S. fingerprints are all over the coup. What better way to thwart Brazil’s successful dealings with Russia and China, as part of the BRICS economic alliance, than to insert an oligarchical leader whose party heavily favors U.S. interests.

First, it’s necessary to revisit the mechanics of the coup as well as the controversy surrounding those involved.

Brazil’s lower house of Congress voted to impeach Rousseff on April 17 on the premise of her alleged complicity in albeit relatively minor corruption. But the true impetus for Rousseff’s removal, contrary to the narrative championed by Brazil’s corporate media, is transparentlyevidenced in those calling for it — and in whom they wish to replace her with.

Bruno Araújo, a congressman who has been implicated as possibly receiving funds from a construction giant embroiled in a corruption scandal, helped tip the vote for impeachment earlier this month. Araújo, as the Intercept reported, belongs to the same PDSB party that lost four elections in a row to Rousseff’s Worker’s Party (PT).

“[T]he most important means for understanding the truly anti-democratic nature of what’s taking place,” the Intercept’s Glenn Greenwald explained, “is to look at the person whom Brazilian oligarchs and their media organs are trying to install as president: the corruption-tainted, deeply unpopular, oligarch-serving Vice President Michael Temer.”

For all the negative attention trained on Rousseff, Temer’s unpopular image and duplicitous dealings are worse, and could be worthy of his own impeachment proceedings. And he isn’t alone.

“Altogether, 60 percent of the 594 members of Brazil’s Congress face serious charges like bribery, electoral fraud, illegal deforestation, kidnapping and homicide,” as The New York Times cited corruption watchdog, Transparency Brazil.

But PDSB seeks to bypass that not-at-all minor detail through Rouseff’s impeachment — which, if successful, would automatically bring Temer to power — much to the satisfaction of the United States government.

To wit, another major figure pushing for the removal of Rousseff, Senator Aloysio Nunes, traveled to Washington, D.C., the day after the impeachment vote to consult with the third most powerful State Department official, Thomas Shannon, in a closed-door meeting.

As co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research, Mark Weisbrot, explained in anarticle for the Huffington Post, Shannon had no obligatory duty to meet with Nunes — but his doing so sent a clear message of at least tacit acceptance of the impeachment proceedings by the White House.

U.S. support of the current coup echoes that of the previous Brazilian coup in 1964 — a violent usurpation of power by U.S.-friendly dictator, during which Dilma Rousseff, herself, became a victim of physical torture.

But perhaps the most telling indication of U.S. support for deposing Rousseff can be found in a detail of Nunes recent Washington trip. As the Intercept’s Andrew Fishman explained in aninterview with Democracy Now, Nunes was a guest at a private luncheon thrown by the Albright Stonebridge Group — a firm cofounded by the former CEO of Kellogg and Madeleine Albright, former secretary of state under Bill Clinton.

“[O]ne of the senior advisers affiliated with the Albright Stonebridge Group,” Fishman, who is located in Brazil, noted, “is the leader of an organization down here that’s very involved in the push against the Dilma government.”

He added that “while the U.S. government hasn’t made any official stance” on Rousseff’s impending impeachment, “it seems pretty obvious as to what their stance is and which side they’re supporting or would support.”

The Giant Al Qaeda Defeat That No One’s Talking About

With little notice, the Saudis and UAE knocked out a key Al Qaeda stronghold in Yemen.

Getty
By Michael Morell

Something significant and positive just happened in the Middle East, and most Americans are not aware of it. The United Arab Emirates, under the banner of a Saudi-led coalition, late last month delivered a major blow to the most lethal Al Qaeda group on the planet—Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), the primary Islamic extremist group operating in Yemen.

The Sunni Gulf states are often painted in the Western media as shying away from a fight, not being capable of a fight and not willing to deal with terrorists and extremists in their midst. The UAE operation in Yemen proved that none of these characterizations are true of Abu Dhabi.

AQAP has long been, and still is, a threat to the American homeland. The past three attempted terrorist attacks in the United States by an outside group were conducted by AQAP—the 2009 attempt to bring down an airliner flying to Detroit by the so-called underwear bomber, the 2010 attempt to bring down U.S.-flagged cargo planes flying from the Middle East to the United States by hiding bombs in printer cartridges, and the 2011 plot to bring down a civilian airliner flying to the United States with a sophisticated suicide vest containing no metallic parts.

These plots resulted from the extensive safe haven that AQAP then enjoyed in Yemen. In 2012 and 2013, military operations by the Yemeni government, supported by U.S. counterterrorism operations, eliminated that safe haven and removed numerous AQAP leaders from the battlefield. But a civil war in Yemen that began in 2014 created a power vacuum that gave AQAP new life. Early last year, the group seized a large amount of territory, garnered thousands of new recruits, acquired caches of weapons and raised new revenues.

In the civil war, the Saudi-led coalition has been fighting on the side of the internationally recognized government of Yemen and its president, Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi. The coalition is fighting against an Iranian-backed Yemeni militant group called the Houthis that had swept across the country in 2014, capturing the capital, Sanaa, in September 2014. The focus of the coalition has been fighting the Houthis, but over the past five months it has quietly turned its attention to the growing threat of AQAP, culminating in last month’s major operation.

On the weekend of April 23-24, the Emirati military, with the support of the Yemeni military and local Yemeni tribes, seized from AQAP the strategically important city of Mukalla and the surrounding area. Mukalla, Yemen’s fifth-largest city, hosts the country’s second largest port—from which AQAP was earning substantial revenues by taxing the shipment of goods there. The city was to be the center of AQAP’s Islamic emirate in Yemen. Its loss is a major blow to AQAP. It is the equivalent of the Islamic State losing Mosul or Raqqa.

The military operation was well planned and executed. The Emiratis worked with local Yemeni tribes to secure their support for the operation, and the Emiratis trained a cadre of Yemeni soldiers to assist in the operation. The attack itself involved choreographed air, naval and ground operations. The operation, which some thought would take weeks, took only days. And now the coalition is shifting to operations to ensure that AQAP cannot return—to include the establishment of good governance in the area. It is a textbook solution of dealing with terrorist groups that hold territory.

Degrading AQAP was in the interests of the Saudis and the Emiratis. The two countries are the primary targets of AQAP in the region. But the degradation of the group is also in the national security interests of the United States since the homeland remains target No. 1 for AQAP outside the region.

Thus, the implications of the Emirati operation are significant. It is the kind of military capability and willingness to act against terrorists that should become a model for other countries in the region. It is the kind of action that the United States should support—both with tangible assistance and public statements. And, it is the approach to dealing with terrorists holding territory that will work against other extremist groups, including the Islamic State, winning the support of local tribes, training local Sunni forces to take the fight to the enemy, and fighting ourselves where necessary.
