Re: Tip: How to Create an Effective Sig File

Hi Kathy! Most email programs are now written to turn anything starting with http://www.-- into a link. AOL is one of the few email programs that does not automatically change urls to links. So... when you email to yourself, you don't need to use the link code, but at the forum you do. The only exception is anyone using AOL - they have to use the link code in their email, too. : ) P.S. Another great read (super short) is "Who Moved My Cheese?" by Spencer Johnson.

Linda, Re my email. I use AOL and Outlook express. It seems that either one I use, just shows the code and doesn't print the link. Also......what about the question re: Also, should we insert target="_blank" before the > after the url? This causes it to open to a new page and then when they X out, it returns them to your website or post. I have read "Who Moved My Cheese" Great little book.

--------------- Another great read (super short) is "Who Moved My Cheese?" by Spencer Johnson. --------------- A very good book Linda. I was given a copy of it a few years ago as a gift. I re-read it every six months or so.
