Pigs In The Blanket
8/1/2009 12:10:05 AM
Maybe everyone but me already knows this recipe, but I just found out about it at the senior center cooking class. Several people said their grandkids like these. Package of hot dogs, any kind but those with cheese inside are especially good. 2 cans of frozen crescent rolls Instructions: Open the cans of crescent rolls and unroll each one at the perforated lines. Take a hot dog and wrap it with the crescent roll. Continue until you have used all the hot dogs and crescent rolls. The dough may not cover the entire hot dog, but you can use two crescents if you prefer. Put them on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for as long as stated on the crescent roll directions. Serve warm.

Hi Donna!  I have made these in the past.  I think I rolled the dough from the corner and let the weiner stick out the end.

Donna I love pigs in a blanket also. We do it a little different. We buy little smokies in the deli section and use the cresent rolls the same as you do with the big dogs except the smokies have a great taste and their bite size the grandkids love them and there grand dad does to. Hi Donna,

I haven't had a pig in the blanket for a long time.  How do these look?

Hi Shirley, That is how the chef made them in cooking class. They tasted quite good. DonnaZ
