Re: A TRIBUTE TO ALL MOTHERS

Dearest Alain,

Thank you for all the efforts you put here, to provide us all those information. I found so many things I didn`t know and it`s great to learn how people from all meridians appreciate and honor their mothers.

For this special day, which in my country is celebrated at the same time as at Greece, I usually do all the house chores, including bathroom and toilet hygiene. What kind of the scarification it is, my mother knows, and she appreciates it greatly. Those are not hard to do jobs, but are a kind of boredom for me, and I am happy each time when I can skip them.

I show my love and appreciation, gratitude and respect to my mother each day; to all mothers actually.  My mother responds the same way; actually, I couldn`t learn from her anything than that.  Our little home, also when it was only imaginative (when we were homeless) ... our atmosphere is always full of appreciation for all what is.

For all.

That`s the way my mother educated me. Each day I am more and more grateful to my little mother .

BRANKA - hey I really miss you very much.

Happy mother`s day TO ALL MOTHERS WORLD WIDE!

Sincerely,

Luka

Thanks, Alain

I want to thank my Mom for all the small things,

Keeping our best school artworks and poems/writings in her top drawer forever

Seeing our best qualities even when shown thru being annoying, persistence, fast-thinking, etc.

Being fascinated with us even when other people would say that's weird.

And now last week on Easter Sunday, my Mother just told me she was diagnosed with Alzheimers. Well, she's BEEN DAFFY all her life so we thought it was just a matter of time.
I am the 50-50 combo, half like my mom and half like dad, daffy sometimes but also brilliant and with quick temper.  So my mom told me about her Alzheimers and she's worried about me because of my traits from her, and I said... "Don't worry, I'll focus my old age on JUST being serious and smart and short-tempered, not goofy or fun like you so maybe i won't get Alzheimers!"  LOL!!!  She thought that was hilarious!!

That's what I mean by being a Mom, someone you can say that to, and she will laugh even in the face of her own future, understanding me completely in what I mean and how I mean it in the best way and enjoying my delivery of it and not feeling bad that I said it, it's impossible to feel bad while laughing.

Hello Alain,

Thank you.

My mother has been gone from my sight over 10 years now
but it is still a nice time to reflect back on how she influenced
my upbringing, the good memories as well as the not so good
*lol*  How much she meant to me and my love for her through
it all.

That I am also a mother, I have tried to be the mother that
I wanted my mother to meet my needs on, and be more
supportive and a listener to my two children.  I have even
changed more in the 10 years I have been away from the
influences and peer pressure of the town I grew up in and
much more relaxed and easy going - Yes I do definitely believe
that you can be pigeon holed by other people especially in a
small town to be someone that you really are not when you
have the strength to get away from all the ties that bind..
change to toward the person whom I was meant to be.

I was particularly blessed and so pleased when my daughter
Kerie and son Daryl told me when they were visiting last month
they like me even better because I am so much more accepting,
loving and supporting to them, and I am more relaxed and
laidback.

I have a wonderful Father (Jesus) and loving husband James,
who have played a huge part in my changes.

To all mothers I wish you a Happy Mothers day
