What is this thing that honours you
Is it all in the mind or does it surround you too
It is a sense of your pure worth
Do you embrace it or give it wide berth
Do you deserve it yes or no
For if not accepted soon will go
So make it welcome invite it in
For it to stay is not a sin
For you do deserve accolades true
For are they not then meant for you
So honour self as being of light
Step forward bravely into the sight
Of those who would you honour give
And honour self then as you live
