Hello Linda,

Yes I remember my late mother wearing her apron and she had one for me
to wear when I helped her.

I also remember making and sewing an apron in our sewing class at Primary
School (junior grade)  I still have an embroidered apron that I brought out
with me but not sure where I acquired it.

Aprons are like muslin cloth and the old flour bag cloths which my mother
had for years and gave me one that I kept for a long time so we could boil
our Plum Pudding in and place around the with string and safety pin for the
steam puddings cooked in a bowl in boiling water in a large saucepan.

I actually found just down the road from us at the museum/second hand
shop flour sacks and bought one.  That museum/second hand shop is huge
and I enjoy browsing down the aisles at all the old vintage stuff on sale and
it also set up like a museum, some things I had not seen before as they must
be unique to America while other old stuff I remembered quite well because
we had them!   Not so old afterall to me *lol*

Sara, Me Too ! One of Mama's well-used aprons hangs in my kitchen as a trophy I am very proud of. She always wore one when cooking.
