Friend or Associate

A Friend needs and wants to

know your life story,

An Associate is normally just

there to share the glory.

You can enjoy the company of a

Friend every single day,

Also able to enjoy an Associate’s just

not for as long you could say.

With both you may keep for many

long and fruitful years,

They can always bring you happiness

but can also cause tears.

With long lasting friendships that

seem to be coated in honey,

Making Associates look bad because

they just look for the money.

True friends will be with you for as long

as you want them to stay,

Your Associates will be around until they

are bored or it does not pay.

Friendships are not always happy as

you do have the odd fight,

When you fight with Associates they get

spiteful then gone from sight.

I have kept very few real friends in person

but I have made many on line,

Finding Associates looking to fill pockets

but if they leave it is just fine.

Associates are here to help you with

the building of a Business,

Yes you become friends first to build trust

or it turns into a big mess.

“If” you can become real friends at

your work from the start,

That friendship will become a part of you

and the friend will never part.

Yes, Michael, there is a big difference between being a true friend and being an associate. Unfortunately, sometimes we lose contact with friends when we no longer work with them, live by them, or otherwise don't have close contact. They live forever in our memories, though.

Much wisdom there.

I have even heard that some networkers haven´t got time to help others in need, cause they see it "as a waste of time"??

May God help us to be unselfish and help other friends as much as we can, cause that is what it´s all about!

Thank you Michael!

Hi Michael,
Thank you for the wonderful poem.  I have to admit what you said is true.  Thank you for sharing.

Sorry about the big boo - boo up there.  Was replying a personal post without realising I was typing it on yours.

Forgive me ;)

Love, Rinna
