I can say that in Las Vegas, NV - The ad caused a real stir. If the casino's here would decide to boycott Absolute it could make a pretty big statement.

We have so many illegal people living here, taking jobs, not paying taxes, & crowding our medical & school system that people are already mad.

I had not seen the ad until it hit the news so, I guess the company did just what it wanted. It got allot of attention for free.

I will not buy any of this product! Not like it would matter - I have never bought it.

Thank you for coming in. Of course I could imagine the results of the poll from the beginning. I posted this thread to show tha many times we simple people do not decide. Peter made a nice description why ABSOLUTE made this announce ment.

You are right not only in Las Vegas but all over the country and on internet there were even confrontations.

A Swedish multinational company (American friendly) for personal winnings started this campaign based on untrue statements but good for their purpose just to promote their products in Latin America.
They knew that Americans drink more whiskey while Mexicans have easier to jump over to Vodka Absolute.

Yes, as you say, the got free advertisement.
