Walking Garbage CanHi Luella,
I felt that today's show was very good.  It would have been a lot better without so much input from me.
HamYou and Shirley however, did an excellent job.  Many people are so busy in their everyday lives that they do not see what's going on around them.  I do hope that you get the support of many here and in other communities for the excellent workd that you have done, are doing now, and always will do for your friends wherever you may be.

Eagle FlagIf Caroline ever does decide to run for president, she will have my vote 100% because she does not say what she is going to do, but rather does it!!  She may not talk the talk, but she does walk the walk.  Yes, the Kennedy's never did choose their friends by the amount of money that they had, but rather by the amount of Heart that they have.  There were several times, in my early teens, when I remember my mother's Bridge parties.  She would buy Holliday cigarettes.  For those old enough to remember that far back, and for those that cannot remember that far back,  Holliday cigarettes were so called because they came in pastel colors.  They were quite expensive as I recall, sometimes costing as much as $1.00 a pack.  My parents were never rich, although they both worked two jobs, {I was the youngest of ten, allowing my mother to go back to work}  My father was respected for his integrity and when someone was known to be at my mother's Bridge Party, {Most often they were politicians} and election time was drawing nearer, it was a sure bet that they would win the election.  Senator John F. Parker, then Speaker of The House, and his wife were always present.  Through them, other politicians would frequent the bridge parties and this was how we get to meet Joseph Kennedy and the young John F. Kennedy.  As I was young at the time, I would politely shake hands with the guests and then ask permission to go out and play.
King Of DiamondsMoneyCoinsGold CoinsPennyNickelDimeQuarterI wonder now if I should have learned how to play Bridge???????

GOD BLESS YOU

MIKE

Thank you Mike for your wonderful and informative post.

It is amazing what we learn about people when we get to know them.  What an experience that must have been for you as you now look back.

Hugs,

Luella
